In Feb 2014, The Good Pie moved to the Delmar Loop. It seems to have a lot of potential, but falls short (at least of the day I was there). They use wood burning oven to make the pizza, which I normally love, but the pizza my husband and I got had burnt outer crusts and raw dough in the middle and bottom. Service was slow, although the wait staff were kind and pleasant. They have a large beer selection, but a small wine list. Overall, it was okay. For the price, I wouldn't try again.

We tried to eat here again on a Wednesday evening. We found the door locked and the place closed up. Ended up across the street a Pappy's instead.

Too bad, this was a good place.

Went there for dinner on Friday night. Place was closed. There was a small sign located by the door, closed and moving to Delmar loop will open first week of September.

Kind of disappointing considering we drove from St. Charles to try this place out.

This is pizza the way it is made in Italy. Not a big pile of cheesy glop like most American pies. With this pizza, you taste every single ingredient. And the crust is delicious. There also is a very good selection of craft beers and the wines are fairly priced.

Disappointed when the BBQ place down the street ran out, The Good Pie was a fabulous consolation prize! They have unique brick oven pizzas using local, seasonal ingredients. I've never been much of a bite-into-a-raw-tomato kind of person, but when I tasted their heirloom tomatoes all other tomatoes ceased to exist. We didn't have a chance to take pictures of our pizzas because when they set them on our table we dove right in. They serve unique beverages with natural sugars and their Fresh Bread is to die for! Our waitress was patient with us and all of our questions and she suggested some other local places to visit on our trip and had a smile on her face the whole time! We know this was a long review but we had so many great things to say!!
