“Great exhibits, free admission, and special exhibit for free for military”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

What more could you ask for free, free, free!! These are professional exhibits with plenty of room to explore and inquire and you never feel pressure since it is free. My son and I we're able to see the special exhibit for free since we are both military. What a great way to spend the day together without spending a huge amount of money. Located in Forest Park the setting is wonderful although parking is a bit complicated. But if you are ok with walking you won't even notice. Enjoy!!!

“History Happens Here”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

MoHist as it is called by many of the local visitors has a large collection; it is tastely displayed. The visitor almost becomes part of history. Some of the exhibits are temporary often rented for the lack of better term. If you are visiting from out of town, you can walk to the History Museum from Metro Link station. (DeBaliviere Station). Multi Taskers will find excellent dinning, and/or snacking. Missouri History Museum does not charge an admission. There is amply parking around the museum building, near bye.

“Interesting and free!”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

The Missouri History Museum is located in beautiful Forest Park, which is bigger than New York's Central Park. The building is beautiful, and the exhibit on the 1904 World's Fair is very good. The museum is family-friendly with lots of activities and exhibits just for them.

“Some good exhibits”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

We were visiting Forest Park and had been to the zoo in the morning and decided to come here afterwards. The exhibit on St Louis was really interesting and the world fair one. One exhibit we went to go in and was told we would have to purchase tickets. We couldn't see this exhibit being any better or bigger than the others so decided it wasn't worth paying the price they wanted for it. It was an amusing way to spend an hour but I couldn't really see spending much longer than that. The cafe upstairs though had amazing food, it's almost worth going to eat there.

“Prohibition exhibit”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

Went to the Museum just to see the Prohibition exhibit but also saw the 1908 World's Fair exhibit. Both were excellent. The Prohibition exhibit had many cute interactive displays. Outside of the awfulness of organized crime, ordinary people had clever and funny ways of subverting the law. The speakeasy room was especially delightful, with a dance floor showing the steps to the Charleston and a full size hotel bar with recipes for pre- and post-Prohibition drinks.
