This was a lovely hotel, I have to disagree with some of the reviews I read. We had an outside room, with plenty of space. The kids had a short swim in the rooftop pool, the water was quite cold, but the views from the pool area were great. Parking was $17 and Internet was 10.99, which was a shame, but we enjoyed our stay because of the proximity to downtown and the arch.

I had a great stay here with the one exception of a rude awakening by housekeeping trying to get in when the chain was on the door.... Management need to reign in those domestic goddesses! I had a room facing into the atrium and would have preferred a little more natural light but the room was huge and well equipped

We normally stay right downtown near the stadium and riverfront, but we wanted to mix it up a bit this time. Booked without a reservation on a somewhat slow weekday. Decided on a club floor suite on the 8th floor (top floor of the hotel, though additional floors are located above with condos on them). Unfortunately, our room was located facing south towards the rail yard for Metro Link and Amtrak. Occasionally throughout the night we would hear the sound of train horns which while not disturbing, did give us the reminder we were right next door to a train station and not getting the nice view of the city as I thought our room most certainly would have given the seemingly unpacked nature of the hotel that day. The top floor of the building contains a nicely sized pool. We had hoped to take our nine month old swimming but the pool (which was advertised as heated on the website) was rather cold and definitely not being heated when we used it. Overall, the hotel is rather clean and we were treated courteously by all the hotel staff, but the main reason we booked here was due to the pool so we could spend the evening in it and we were unable to do so, but I guess you can't win them all!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that doesn't face towards the rail yard.

This hotel is not nearly as glamorous as pictures might lead you to believe. The rooms were quite spacious, but that's one of the only benefits of this hotel. Upon arrival, not one person offered to help us with luggage or parking. Housekeeping banged loudly on the door early in the morning even though we had the 'do not disturb' sign out. Later that morning, we had the door cracked open (kids were going back and forth between our room and grandparents' room), and housekeeping walked in - completely unannounced!! Beds were comfortable, but there were lots of patchy areas on the walls and in the bathroom. Pool was big, but water was really cold.

Great location for anything in St Louis. Loved the huge enclosed rooftop pool (whirlpool was closed), great outside pavilion right next to it overlooking the stadium, huge open atrium in the center with glass elevators. The parking ($17 a day) was onsite but it's very VERY tight maneuvering if you've got an SUV. Only complaint is that the non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Not enough to drive us out of the room to another one, but it kept it from being a perfect stay for the money.

Hotel staff is extremely friendly I didn't run into one staff person who didn't go out of their way to say "Hello" and offer a friendly smile. I'm not sure of the complaints about the rooms, because mine was fine. The fold out bed is not comfortable, but I'm not sure who expects them to be. The breakfast buffet was good, temperature in room was fine. With the great location, I would recommend it to anyone going to a baseball game.

This facility is quite old. The bed was not up to standard - uneven, not firmly soft like a "seet sleeper" should be. Couch had no cushioning at all. Desk chair was busted. Staff was frequently not helpful. Service in bar was slow. There's really nothing good I can say about the place. Oh, and don't walk outside after dark...... OK, one god thing: Workout room was very well equipped.

I'm lifetime gold status with SPG. This facility is NOT at SPG standards, unless those are slipping.

Room Tip: Try a different hotel
