“Parkway exceptional experiences”
Reviewed 15 March 2014

This was my second visit at the Parkway and the longest four (4) days. The Parkway is connected to Barnes Jewish Hospital via walkways, preventing having to walk outside. The staff is exceptional, flexible and eager to help with requests. The 24/7 coffee/tea and fresh fruit was refreshing. The warm fresh baked cookies in the later afternoon and popcorn was yummy. Applebee's has a common entry into the Parkway again a convenience. The king size bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. The only downside was the internet service, service was spotty, sometimes it would connect and sometimes not. There are two computers in the hotel lobby with printers to use. I will recommend The Parkway and will stay here again.

I have had to be near Barnes Hospital multiple times over the past year and I have stayed at the Parkway Hotel every time. The staff are always accommodating and flexible when I have been there. This is so important to me and anyone with someone in the hospital as circumstances change quickly. I would recommend this hotel and plan to use it again. There is also the added convenience of the hotel being connected by walkways to the CAM building, Children's Hospital and Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Room Tip: The corner rooms (15s) have a nice view of the city. Just makes it nicer when you're away from...

We spent the evening at the Parkway to visit the Fox. It was a cold, rainy night and we didn't want to drive to the Fox ourselves. The hotel desk told us the hotel shuttle would be happy to take us over and gave us a phone number for a cab company to bring us back. Great.
We wanted to see the building and asked for the shuttle early to get over there. He was a little late, but that was fine. We also found out that there were a number of us doing this. The driver himself was a big part of the problem. Traffic was heavy and he just couldn't seem to get there. He kept arguing with the dispatcher, because he couldn't understand that there were more to be picked up and brought to the Fox. If he went back to get the others, they were going to be late.
When we got out, the cab company we were told to call, never showed up. It was below zero and there was about 10 of us from the parkway standing outside trying to catch cabs. One young man caught a van and he make sure and got all of in.
The hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There were a lot of people hanging around the lobby but that was because of the weather. The Applebees in the hotel fed us a very nice supper. Breakfast was adequate. For the price it was a great place to stay.
For the hotel management, have you ever thought of having a FOX package that would include transport to the theater. I would be very thrilled and would use it on occasion as I am sure others would too.
Parking is confusing. There is not a way from the garage into the building. In the garage, parking is not marked. The front gates to the garage were broken and from the garage, the hotel does not look like a good place to stay.

The Parkway Hotel is half a block away from the Barnes Hospital Campus, but it is directly connected to the hospital properties by a series of crosswalks which are clean, safe, and full of light, . Hotel parking is an additional $5.00 per day with unlimited in and out privileges, but this saves you a fortune in parking fees at the hospital parking. The room with two double beds was an older style, but was very clean, adequate and comfortable. The free breakfast was excellent, and coffee and tea are available all day in the lobby. The staff was VERY polite. Appleby's restaurant is on the property, which makes it convenient to catch a meal when you are weary after a day at the hospital. For St. Louis, the rates were reasonable. My only complaint would be the use of air fresheners in the hallways after morning vacuuming; these should not be used around people who are ill!!!! I will stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Walls are a little thin, if it is noisy ask to be moved. One of our group had a noisy neighbor, two...

Stayed here because of the location to the hospital. Rooms are clean and the free breakfast is Ok at best. Free shuttle to close attractions. Free popcorn and coffee and cookies most of the day. Would stay again because of the location. Parking garage is not connected to the hotel so you have to walk around. Not a big deal though.

Excellent hotel for price. Hot breakfast which has a very good selection. Beds and rooms very comfortable. If that isn't enough the hotel staff very helpful and caring, like I said "repeat stay!" Walkways to Barnes Hospital and shuttle service available to St Louis University Hospital.

Stayed at this hospital during a hospital visit at Barnes Jewish. It is connected to the hospital which allows one not to have to leave the building to go to doctor visits. The staff is very helpful. We were allowed a late check out in order to accommodate our doctor visits. Also a having a restaurant site is great. the breakfast is lacking in that there is not large selection but it does the job. It is also nice that they have fresh cookies, fruit, and popcorn available for the guest. the hotel could use some updating but in general it was clean which is highly important to me. I certainly will consider this hotel for other stays in the area and on hospitals visits.
