I love most all kinds of music and came from an era where artist depended on their voices as their talent and not a lot of synthesizers and hype. While visiting St. Louis, I had the opportunity to visit the Touhill Performing Center located on one of the Local university campuses. I was there to see The Moipei Quartet, a singing group of triplets and their younger sister as they performed songs from a cache' of venues. They sang Americans songs such as "The Color of the Wind" and then a clip from Hendel's Messiah. It was perfect. I loved the music and the sweetness of the songs. Touhill Performing Arts Center is to be commended on their cultural diversity and the quality of the shows that it hosts, It was a great concert and a wonderful experience. Thank you Touhill for this great opportunity.

My 10-year old daughter and I have gone for a few theater events (Oliver, Annie etc.) and have loved each experience. The campus location on UMSL is perfect, with ample parking available right next to the theater. Would most definitely go for future events.

The venue is incredible, but this review is about the Second City show. We saw the show this weekend, and it was a pretty big disappointment. I went with family who can all "handle" rough language--and it was rough--but it was also excessive, and after awhile that just became tedious. We saw families with kids there--be warned, this show is NOT family-friendly. Our feeling was that the actors were probably more talented than their material allowed them to be, and we ended up feeling kind of sorry for them. The jokes were typically the "easy laugh" variety, often offensive and sometimes obscure to the audience (i.e., the "vaudeville" reference went flat because the audience volunteer didn't know what that was) instead of the clever and creative writing that has built Second City's reputation. Come see the other shows and the Ballet, but maybe...save Second City for Chicago?

Very nice place for shows. We have been to several performances of various types and enjoyed all of them. A little hard to find. It is on the campus of Missouri University could use better signs. GPS can't find it either.
