Grant's Farm contains the Clydesdale horse ranch on one side of the road. On the other side of the road is a little zoo and beer garden. Parking is $12 but there is free parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. The horse section is totally free to walk around the outside of the corrals. If you want to pay $25 per person they take you on a tour into the barns and other areas.

The zoo on the other side includes Deer Park where lots of species of herbivores roam free. For this part you have to stay on the free tram. After Deer Park they drop you at the entrance to another area which contains fenced animals. You get to wander around this part. There is a children's petting zoo and also a place to feed birds.
There is a collection of old horse-drawn wagons which are cool to see.
Highly recommended.

Grant's Farm is a wonderful place to take young children to see animals of all types. They have a goat petting zoo and a walk through Zoo that includes elephants, bison, deer, and many other animals. The farm has plenty of places to eat, sit in the shade, and enjoy the sights.

Free to get in. $12 to park. Found a coupon for $5 off parking onlin. Does cost for extras in the park. Make sure you bring cash no credit cards.

I was in a group that included children ages 3 through 15. Everyone found something they enjoyed. All the animal exhibits are included in the cost of parking. Commemorative photos, camel rides, bird feeding (parakeets) and carousel were all separate fees. We chose to eat at the park, but you could save money by eating at your car before or after your trip. Once parked, you board a tram that takes you through the deer park. This was a fantastic way to see many animals up close. Stroller accommodations are great- they took our double stroller and parked it on the tram for us, we didn't even have to collapse it. Food is basic, but satisfying. The food staff was friendly and well organized. You can easily see everything and have lunch in 3 hours. The courtyard was crowded and finding a table was a bit challenging. The setting is lovely and the park is easy to navigate. The gift shop at the entrance is very modestly priced, which we appreciated. Visiting the Clydesdales at the horse barn was a highlight at the end of our visit. Beautiful animals with a great history. Overall, we had a great day in a beautiful setting. I would definitely go again and save time to visit the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site across the street as well.

This place is awesome. Unlike many other parks every little thing isn't outrageously expensive. Bottle feeding the goats is a highlight. Great animal shows. Easy walk and the food is even affordable! For the adults 21+ getting two free beers might be a highlight . The 60th anniversary beer is a good one!
