We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the St. Louis art museum. The co[lections are vast and diverse, no matter what your personnal taste in art is they likely have something you will enjoy. The museum is housed in the only remaining building left over from the 1904 worlds fair and it is a stunner. Before visiting the art museum I recommend you drop by the Missouri History Museum just up the street (also free) and check out the gallery devoted to the 1904 fair. Identifying the art museum as it was in 1904 on some of the old pictures and paintings in the history museum will help ypu better appreciate the art museum today.
