I have probably been to El Burro Loco twenty to thirty times as I live fairly close, and I would definitely recommend coming here over all the other mexican restaurants in St. Louis (we have tried about 5 or 6 in the area).
The chips and salsa are absolutely delicious, and the queso and guacamole are fantastic as well. Queso is always hot, and guac is always fresh.
Quesadillas are pretty standard, but their street tacos are phenomenal. My BF gets the chicken fajitas every time we go, and he loves them. The margaritas are great, and they offer many different flavors.
The service is somewhat spotty, we have had very friendly, prompt waitresses but have also had somewhat cold, slow waitresses. However, they always have a duo of guitar players that are entertaining.
The patio is fantastic, great people-watching in a prime part of town. I would recommend trying to get a table on the porch of the restaurant, rather than the seating on the sidewalk as it can get rather crowded with all the people walking by.
