“Anniversary Event turns out Perfect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2014

We received a Gift Card from a dear relative who only smiled when he presented the card to us. Our dinner was excellent. We had the mussels, for appt --- Duck and Twin Chicken. The server was Tamara and she was on top of the game. Always checking in with us and made great recommendations from the wine to desert . We are going to take our friends from West County here-- Get the point---:) We will show them we can pick places.

“Great Food -Local and Seasonal Ingredients-”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2014

We were just passing through St Louis and wanted to have a nice dinner. It was very good! Service was excellent. Our waitress was very good at recommending some of the dishes we ordered. Our wine decision (unfortunately, we did not ask for wine recommendation which we should have) was not the best. We started with the Harvest Spa Greens Salad with Quinoa which was delicious. My partner had the Ricotta Gnudi and I had the special fish. Both were delicious. We don't know much about the food scene in St. Louis but we would definitely recommend this restaurant for a casual or a special occasion. The atmosphere is warm and cozy.

“I Think They Forgot to Harvest The Flavor”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 December 2013

We were looking forward to dining at Harvest and unfortunately it did not deliver. We started with the skillet roasted mussels which are delivered sizzling to our table, a nice presentation but very flavorless. The other appetizer was a special for the night, a rabbit filled perogi with a sauce. This was the highlight of the evening, They had very outstanding flavor and texture. Two of us ordered the roasted beet salad, again very little flavor, the beets were very watery. For our entrees we ordered the pork chop, the hanger steak and a special of the night a sea bass. The pork chop was extremely fatty as I cut over 60% of the fat off and the meat was chewy with quite a few grisly pieces in it . It came with brussel sprouts and scrapple which was the highlight of my dinner. The other dining guest had the sea bass which he said was "just ok" but a very small portion. Our other dining partner had the hanger steak where again he said it was just ok also. For dessert we had a bread pudding, an apple turnover, and a chocolate tart, which were good but not great. As one guest put it, they were glad they ordered desert otherwise they would have left hungary. The dining room itself is very nice. Our server was attentive, but food coming out of the kitchen was extremely slow. At one point our server made the comment she was checking on what was taking our entrees so long. There were other tables that came and gone and other tables that were in same slow delivery of food as we were. From when our server greeted us to our check we were there for 2 hours and 45 minutes. We each had one glass of wine. With this our bill came to $189 for the three of us.

“Highly Recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013 via mobile

We went there for a special occasion with another couple and were not disappointed. First, the service was perfect. Our waiter knew all if the answers, was attentive and professional. The food and drinks and wine all came out in appropriate time. Well done.

We usually have the foie gras when there and it again didn't disappoint. It was perfect with the nice Pinot noir that we enjoyed. One if us started with the mussels and they were superb, too.

I ordered the pork steak which was wonderful - wonderfully tender and marvelous flavors. My wife had the duck breast which was also perfect. Another had a steak, which also was great. Coffee , espresso, muscat, ice cream also was enjoyed.

“Fresh food and nice ambiance.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2013 via mobile

Farm fresh food is what this restaurant promises and it delivers most of the time. No starters so I can only comment on the main dishes. Hanger steak was cooked perfectly, tasty but chewy. Chicken was moist with perfectly crisp skin but under seasoned(for my taste). Vegetables and mashed potatoes were very good. Comfortable atmosphere, good wine list and good service.
