The location of the Country Inn is great if you're travelling into St. Louis. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. There's a McDonalds on one side and an IHoP on the other.
Reception staff fine. Booked us in, had a bit of trouble with the fact we had no mobile phone number and were from the UK, but we got there in the end. But gave us a discount for AAA membership, which we didn't know about.
Our room had one advantage and one disadvantage. It was a disabled friendly room on the first floor next to the reception atrium. The advantage was it was a huge room. The disadvantage was that we spent half the night listening to the three separate wedding parties coming back to the motel, clearly full of the joys and wishing the rest of the world to know it.
I'm sure on any other night it wouldn't have been an issue, but it did spoil our sleep after a long days travelling.
Breakfast was fine, although the 'gourmet' coffee is best avoided. Rather insipid and tasteless.
So, all in all a clean, well located motel with all the amenities you might need. Just get a room as far from reception as you can if you're staying on a busy weekend. Unless you're going to a wedding, in which case you may be the one singing to the folk in the disabled room and you won't care about noisy guests.
