“Meets expectations pleasantly”
Reviewed 11 September 2009

Pleasant staff, clean room and conveniently located close to Ft Wood. We came for my brother's basic training graduation and the hotel suited our needs wonderfully. The staff was very helpful, and their recommendation for BBQ at Sweetwater was a winner. Restaurants and retailers are close by and in-room free wifi and a communal computer, as well as the complementary continental breakfast pretty much make this hotel an excellent value for the money.

Don't let the photos fool you, the rooms are tiny. And the bed was very uncomfortable. It is off the interstate enough though that we didn't experience the noise of traffic however we could hear the people walking in the room above us and people talking in the next room and the halls. If you stay here my advice is to not go anywhere for supper, the parking lot fills up from the restaurant next door. And the alarm clock did not work in our room. This hotel needs upgrades badly. It is more like a room you would pay $40 for.

I was pleasantly surprised how clean the room was and the customer service was excellent. The rooms are small, however I got over that quickly because of the attractive nightly rates.

The hotel seemed pretty nice. This hotel had offered coupons for weekened getaways for some people I know so we stayed there. We got one of the suites with a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was nice, the room was clean, but it was a little pricy. Nothing exceptional about the service or anything. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. (note you'd have to pay extra for one of these rooms).

Went to this hotel for the same reason everyone else goes- to see someone on the Base. Don't let the word "Suite" fool you- it is no more than a room slightly bigger than average with a microwave. When we got there and found out that it wasn't an actual suite, and the second bed was a pull out couch, I was less than thrilled. The sofa bed, however, wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as others I've slept on.
There is a nice little convenience store in the lobby. No pool or hot tub. The sink in our room didn't hold water and the TV didn't work so in order to get it to work the desk person had to take the box where you can order pay per view movies.
Oh, and they told me that it was the closest hotel to the base. Maybe if you plan on cutting through the woods or something, but it was no closer than any other hotel on the same road.
If all you need is a bed, by all means choose this cheap hotel.

  • Disliked — no pool or hot tub

My husband, grandson and self. stayed at a microtel inn. and promise it will be the last time....the beds in this hotel were the worst ever. we even pulled back the sheets to see what the problem was, why the bed was slanted toward the headboard. the mattress's were so worn they looked much older that the hotel itself. needless to say our backs took two days to recover this nights sleep. also the lighting in this room was also bad 3 light sources and one did not work. at first we felt fortunate that we found a room without a reservation. but afterward we realized why. we will never stay at one of these hotels again and will recomend our friends and family don't either. 75.00 for a bad night sleep...
