We stayed in a King room while visiting for my son's college graduation.
Nothing fancy but more than adequate for the price- fridge and microwave in the room was a plus.

We booked a king room- smoking was all they had left- but it didn't stink nearly as bad as I would have thought...the hallways smelled worse than the room.

The best thing was the bed- very comfy!! We arrived at 4am and didn't leave the room until after noon the next day but housekeeping went ahead and cleaned anyway- even though they normally don't service rooms after noon (according to the hotel info book in the room).

The breakfast was just so-so..we enjoyed our breakfast at 'Aunt Martha's' which is located north on Glenstone a bit....very quaint and reasonable for great food! Aunt Martha was there- and beware....she is cranky..lol

Pool area looked nice- the hallway near the pool reeked of chlorine though..I would also recommend asking for a room away form the elevator (which we had) as the walls are thin!

Booked a room in october, staff was very friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. The pool and hot tub were very nice, and the continental breakfast was good as well. The prices were reasonable, and our room was great! I would definitely go back to the baymont inn!

  • Liked — The staff and pool.

The Baymont is a nice hotel with a wonderful pool. It is conviently located on the south side of Springfield amid a lot of new businesses. There are quite a few good points about this hotel. It is close to good restaurants, Outback, Applebees, IHOP, etc. It is also close to good shopping like Kohl's, Target, and the king of shopping, the Battlefield Mall. The rooms at the Baymont are very nice and include a refrigerator and microwave. In-room movies are also available, which is a lovely luxury for the weary traveler that just wants to rest while enjoying television. The breakfast bar at Baymont has expanded to include biscuits and gravy, homemade waffles, fruit, donuts, etc. The jewel of the hotel, however, has to be the indoor pool and hot tub. It is a favorite of families, which unfortunately makes it very busy at times. A few of the drawbacks to the Baymont include the price which can be steep for the average family. Another drawback is that the pool closes at 11 pm which may be reasonable, but does limit fun for a family. A later hour such as 12 would be more welcomed. All in all, the Baymont is a great hotel, and I will definitely stay again.

  • Liked — in-room movies
  • Disliked — tends to be pricey

I stayed at the Baymount for one night while on business. I chose the hotel becasue of the location and free internet. Check-in was quick and easy with very friendly folks. There were two employees working. They had fresh coffee in the lobby. The hotel room was very clean and up to date. There was a frig and microwave, wired internet and wireless internet access was also available. There's an indoor pool and jacuzzi and both were clean. There are plenty of places to eat dinned near the hotel, and there's an Outback next to the hotel that will deliver to the front desk. There's also an IHOP next to the hotel, but the hotel does offer free breakfast, but if you want eggs and such...go to the IHOP. My only complaint about the hotel is how they separate smoking and non-smoking rooms. They have them inter-mixed in the same hallway (two rooms smoking then one or two are not, etc.) along with a wall ashtray mounted in the hallway. You could really smell the smoke in the hallway. Other than that, I will stay here again.

I booked this hotel because it had jacuzzi rooms and we were driving all the way from FL. It was a very nice room and the jacuzzi was a used every night we were there (including the morning of departure as well). Very comfy. Be careful when booking on their website - you may want to contact the hotel directly as the room we had picked was not what we got at first. Luckily all the rooms were not taken and they were able to switch us to the right room. The breakfast in the morning - specifically the waffles - were very good.

While in the area check out Talking Rocks Cavern in Branson - we went late in the summer and late in the day and had our own personal cave tour. It was very nice and very informative. Ask for Mary Ann when you go! Also - look for a small bakery - ask around Branson for a local bakery that is NOT Panera. It's at a little house down a wainding road - very worth the trip.

While in Springfield look for the Mudhouse in downtown Branson - very good coffee and tea. There is an upscale Italian restaurant in downtown Springfdield right up the road from the Mudhouse - not worth the trip at all - try the inexpensive place practically next door for Italian - very good food there. Bass Pro Shops was actually well worth it (even for someone like myself who doesn't care for hunting, guns, etc) - look for the largest freshwater turtle in North America. The neat Chinese restaurant - very nice building, very nice decor - the food was not nice tho. I believe it was called Mr. Wahs. Don't miss the food at Ziggy's cafe though - very good!
