“Great Location and B&B”
Reviewed 24 September 2012

My husband and I stayed here on our anniversary. We really liked the location and homey feel that bed and breakfasts offer. Our room was beautiful and the location was amazing everything in walking distance. We had a 2 bedroom suite which had a lovely fireplace in the room. We had everything we needed including a wine and cheese reception and a homemade breakfast. Weston is B E A U T I F U L this time of the year and there is plenty to do around Weston and beyond within a 20 mile or less radius. I would highly recommend staying here and enjoying everything Weston and beyond has to offer.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

spent 2 nights in nasty heat of this summer in this reallly charming B&B very comfortable, copious breakfasts of great food. Darcy, the hostess, actually stayed late for our arrival, unbeknownst to us until we arrived bed and accomodations very quaint and comfortable. air conditioning more than up for the task of staying cool in 107 degree heat. reservations, like all B&B's in Weston, go fast, and for this place, for good reason really cozy shaded patio with a fire pit would be great in the cooler weather, was very nice in the evening even with the heat will definitely go back

Room Tip: read the descriptions on the web site

We stayed at the Hatchery for a family get-together (5 couples), and had the place to ourselves. Jan and Larry were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home and pampered from the time we arrived.

The rooms were meticulously decorated and very cute. We loved the 5 o'clock wine tasting (weekends) and the delicious, more than generously portioned, breakfast. At night we sat on the covered back porch around the gas firepit and enjoyed the company.

This is the perfect place from which to explore the unique town of Weston with all its specialty and antique stores, and some wonderful hiking at Weston Bend State Park (a few miles from the town center). A must-do visit to O'Malleys Pub becomes a convenient and safe outing as it is directly across the street from the Hatchery!

Jan and Larry, we loved our stay. Thank you for your great hospitality!

Met owner, Jan, who was personable and very attentive. Had a large, comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious - had creme brulee french toast with herbed scrambled eggs ... yum!! Walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants and everything you want to see in Weston. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

Room Tip: Stairs are steep, and/or if you need more than one bed, ask for the Pineapple Room on the first leve...

We stayed in 'The Quilt Room to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. It was abolutely spotless, the bedding was comfortable. It was 109 degrees outside, our room was cool, cozy, and the decor was perfect. I could not have asked for a better experience. Jan and Larry were bot cordial, polite, accommodating and friendly. We were amazed, we've stayed at many B&B's. This is the best one so far........the breakfast in the morning was quite good, we met the family dogs and had an enjoyable conversation with Jan.

Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. I'll be sending as many people your way as I can!

The kitchen area for breakfast is located up stairs, the antique stove is so neat, there is a little fridge with drinks and wine for guests. (left from the wine tasting on Saturday). Very nice decor, homey and comforting.

We were the only guests staying this night. Our room was spacious with an outside entrance onto the parking. We walked to 'The Vineyard" to eat dinner, then wandered back to the B&B. We were pleased to have so much space to enjoy. It was all in all one of the most pleasant B&B experiences so far and we've stayed in approx. 9. The other one that is comparable is the one we spent the night at in The Amana colonies. It was an old church, we truly loved it, too.

Spent two nights in "clemmies suite" at the Hatchery house last weekend. The suite had 2 rooms and was comfortable. Bathroom was pretty small, but not unusual for a historic B & B. Location was excellent - very convenient location to bars, resturants and downtown.

Lovely living room to gather with friends. Cheese and wine provided at 5 PM was very nice.

Used the outdoor hot tub one morning, which was clean, hot, and a perfect way to start the day. Breakfasts were huge and excellent quality. Owners very friendly and accomodating to all requests (extra towels, ice, etc). Water/soft drinks available for all quests at no additional charge. Overall, a wonderful weekend in Weston , and will go back to the Hatchery.

We had a very nice stay a couple of weeks ago at the Hatchery House. We stayed in the Holladay Brothers room...there was a wonderful high bed with luxurious bedding. There was a cheese and fruit plate with a carafe of wine waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived. The house and gardens were peaceful and well-decorated. The B&B was close to the historic downtown, and right across the street from O'Malley's pub, where we had dinner and listened to music. Jan and Larry, the owners, were very friendly...and really good cooks too! We had a wonderful time, and will definitely be back, just for the heck of it.
