We don't usually reckon to book somewhere for a 2 week stay, but this time we did and were very glad. The scenery is fantastic, the apartment was really well equipped and comfortable, the welcome basket of food - replenished as you bought items from it - saved a lot of shopping, the pool was welcoming, Isabel's meals were excellent....and so it goes on. Not a single negative in 2 weeks. Even the evening the thunder storm came we had just got back from out outing!

Pian di Cascina is every bit as good as it looks in the photos, we had a superb holiday there. It really is an idylic location and was perfect for getting away from it all. It's nestled in the hills overlooking a valley and is teaming with flowers, plants and wildlife.

The accomodation was well equipped, spacious and nicely designed. There are also a couple of thoughtful optional extras served up by the lovely hosts Paul and Isabel, which you can pay for, such as fresh croissants delivered to your door in the morning in time for breakfast and a 4 course foodie dream meal served up at the restaurant on certain nights. The pool is the jewel in the crown and is where my other half spent most of his holiday.

Pretty psyched now for our wedding next year, where we'll be staying at Pian di cascina.

We have stayed in many agriturismo in Tuscany and Umbria and this is right up there. Our apartment was large and well-appointed, each bedroom having its own en suite bathroom. We were 23, including 11 kids, and nothing was too much trouble for Isabel and Paul. Major bonus was the delicious food on offer, taken in your apartment or at the little restaurant - great after a hard day at the pool. A few of us took our bikes - not for the faint-hearted.

We last visited Italy in 1978 and since then have spent most of our holidays birdwatching in different places around the world. So our visit in the first 2 weeks of May 2011 was a revelation. The many hilltop villages, scenery and wildflowers were truly outstanding. On trips to Monte Cucco and Monte Subasio we saw hills covered with orchids, narcissi and grape hyacinths. Added to that was a wonderful medieval festival in Assisi.
Pian Di Cascina was a really comfortable place to stay with beautiful panoramic views and great food in La Tavernetta. We also enjoyed Isabel's delicious lasagne and raspberry jam.
We had a really wonderful 2 weeks and hope to return next Autumn.

We had already been to the Pian Di Cascina last year and enjoyed it so much we took the first opportunity to come back. The accommodation is tastefully decorated with a rustic simplicity, but the facilities are comprehensive and very modern. The setting is stunning - even if you do have to bounce up a very bumpy road to get there. The pool and the pool area are excellent. The food at the on site restaurant is always delicious. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the extra thoughtful touches such as the daily fresh bread service, availability of produce for purchase, cab booking, etc make a big difference to the overall comfort of a stay there. It is well located to explore the many beautiful towns within Umbria.

We were a pain for isabel and paul as we were a large group who arrived and departed different days, we also had some interesting moments. Our hosts were fantastically welcoming, knowledgable and accommodating. The accomodation has everything needed to make it homely, it's little things like toilet roll and salt n pepper. The location is remote quiet and beautiful. I love food especially italian food and homemade cooking. The most oustanding dinners I have ever eaten were cooked by isabel.

Accomidation in all the appartments was to a high standard, rustic and very comfortable.
The panaramic views are wonderful with an abundance of wildlife.
Paul and Isabel were the perfect hosts and you can not stay at Pain Di Cascina without trying Isabels cooking, it is simply delightful.
We were part of a wedding party which enjoyed the whole experience, Paul and Isabel had a large part to play in providing our party with that experience and the memories that we took home.
