“Beautiful Location”
Reviewed 2 August 2010

Although my husband and I stayed here to attend a business conference, it certainly felt like a true vacation. The condo was beautifully appointed with stunning views of the peak of Lone Mountain. The location is in the center of the mountain village and the shops, restaurants and ski lifts are just steps away. The staff was very accomodating and extremely friendly. Spectaular setting for business or leisure. We would definitely like to go back.

The Village Center Studio Suites has a sweet location right on the slopes of Big Sky. It is the best ski-in, ski-out location I've stayed in (Whistler, Sun Peaks, Jackson Hole). The only thing closer than the view of Lone Peak is the hot tub and pool. My wife and I thought it hadn't snowed overnight because the heated deck for this area had melted it and was dry. Just remember your room key card to access the enclosed area. They supply towels and plastic cups in the second floor public area, too.

The studio had a very comfortable murphy bed, was extremely well appointed, and had a kitchenette with fridge, sink, coffee pot and microwave. An electric tea kettle would be nice, since there is no stove. The bathroom is very large, with designer feel and large shower. A lighter blanket than the down comfortable would have been nice, since it was warm in the room. The lobby is quite nice, especially for a complex of its size.

A nice italian restaurant (Andiamo) is located nearby in the same complex, and it is an easy (five minute or less) walk to most of the other base area restaurants, shops, ticket booth and bars. The downside to this slopeside location is the need to shlep your luggage through the Huntley Lodge, and along an outdoor pedestrian walkway. The cowboy-hatted bellmen will do this for you. We borrowed a cart and made it work. Less convenient still is the surface parking for guests, which is located downhill on a dirt lot on the other side of the Huntley Lodge. There is a tunnel from the parking lot to the Lodge.
Overall, we would definitely stay in the Village Center Suites again.

This suite while a bit small with a Murphy bed was perfect for two people. Very nicely appointed with a couch and a kitchenette. Close proximity to the slopes only requiring a slight uphill walk to ski down to the lift for ski out. You can ski in right to the door. I would recommend saying on the second floor as it has the access to the outside. All was perfect except the shower which was a dribble at best - but "eco-friendly"! Great location - within easy walking distance to everything of importance within the mountain village. I would definitely go back.

Stayed here in Feb 2010. We were skeptical b/c there are lots of bad reviews for condos and hotels in this area. The Village Center is newly renovated. The rooms, even the studio suites, are tastefully designed, well-appointed in Western theme. Everything was super clean. The services was perfect. And because it is part of the resort, you can use facilities at Summit and Huntley Lodge. We had a ski package which included 5 days skiing and breakfast. The price was very reasonable for a 4* style lodging which is ski-in/ski-out. We really loved our studio with the Murphy bed. It was super comfortable and he efficiency kitchen was an ideal addition to make our stay even better. I would highly recommend this over other lodging options. We enjoyed out stay and would definitely come back!

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights which included 5 days of fantastic skiing in newly fallen powder snow. Our suite was comfortable and could have slept a family of 5 or 6. The breakfast included at the Huntley Lodge was excellent. The concierge, Carol, was so helpful in getting us lift tickets and dinner reservations highlighted by the sleigh ride dinner at the Lone Mountain Ranch. Restaurants at the resort are quite expensive but the cooking facilities within the suite were fine and I would suggest if you have a car to arrive with a supply of food so that you can prepare your own lunch (which you should not need after the huge breakfast at the Huntley) and dinner.

We have stayed in numerous facilities at Big Sky and this is one of the nicest and most conveniently located. Our room was well appointed, comfortable and quiet. The views up the mountain were spectacular and it was nice to sit by the fireplace and have a glass of wine while looking up the mountain. The bathroom was spacious with a beautiful tiled shower. Overall, very nice.
