Wow! What a great meal. This is not fast food. This is food cooked from scratch and served by a family. Don't go if you are in a hurry or are impatient or the taste of your food doesn't matter to you. If you enjoy savoring every bite while having a nice conversation and glass of wine, this is the place for you. Our waitress was so helpful in every aspect, explaining all of the authentic Italian ingredients and flavors to us. The food itself was all amazing, those ingredients make all the difference. I am not a Tiramisu person but "Grandma's recipe" won me over! Nice wine selection. We are a bit spoiled with the great restaurants we have in Whitefish, so were so pleased to have a such a wonderful experience on our little get away. We will make more special trips just for this. Can't wait to share the pleasure with friends and family.

So my standards for MT food is fairly low. Especially in "touristavilles" like Bigfork! Bigfork is a place where they want every nickel from tourists! It was formerly a nice, quiet place with theater, but it has been gentrified in the last 5 years. Yuck!

But Moraldo's was superb. Let me state that another way! It was the best Italian meal that I have had since Seattle! Fabrizio is the owner and runs the small restaurant like you would expect. His wife welcomes you, serves as the waitress, and keeps the pace going. Fabrizio is in the kitchen making magic. It is reminiscent of small restaurants everywhere. When we arrived at 5:45 pm on a Thursday, the place was packed. After we were seated, we perused the wine list and shared a bottle of chianti. Excellent choice! Then we had a caprese salad and house green salads. Superb! The caprese was excellent. Warm toasted bread was added to the mix with olive oil. We all ordered pasta specials and were very happy with our choices. What a find!! And I will call foul on the person who criticizes a 25 minute wait for a hand crafted pizza! If you want a frozen dough pizza like Domino's fast, then go to Domino's! Leave the quality restaurants for those who want to enjoy a good meal with a quality glass of wine!

After a full day of touring we thought an Italian meal sounded like a nice treat. We were wrong. We entered an empty restaurant and were asked if we had a reservation. When we replied that we did not, we were reluctantly shown to a small table by the door. Perhaps it was because we chose not to order wine (we were driving) but we could not have felt more unwelcome during the entire experience.

We have dined in some of the finest restaurants in the country and have never been treated in such a condescending manner. The meal was overpriced for food that was tasteless and portions that were incredibly small. We left hungry & insulted. On the way out I noticed that the restaurant was less then half full prompting me to wonder, "What difference did it make whether we had a reservation or not?"

Dear Sirs,we would like to reply to your review regarding your dinner experience at our establishment as follows: all fine dining establishments are in the habit of asking every client entering if they have a reservation (especially during the extremely busy summer season here in Bigfork, July and August) and if no reservations were made, we are always more than happy to accommodate them at the next available table. You should however understand that in order to seat patrons without reservations at an open table we need to look at our list (with matching table seatings) as is customary at all restaurants. If we were to seat people randomly at any table they chose our patrons that called ahead of time to make reservations would arrive to find they "lost" their table since it was given to someone else. This wouldn't be correct on our end.The table you are given is not based on whether you choose to drink wine or not, how would we know this the minute you walk into the establishment? We don't ask people if they drink or not...we give everyone fair and even customer service regardless of their food and drink choices. If the choice of table wasn't to your satisfaction and if the dining room was indeed empty as you claim we would have gladly given you a different table if you had mentioned this "issue" upon seating. We understand that some can have seating preferences and we strive to please all. Our portions are always commented on as being huge and many patrons eat them "family style" therefore your comment on "incredibly small" portions greatly surprises us. Our prices are well in line with the other fine dining restaurants in the valley also considering all the imported Italian ingredients used in each meal.

We had such a wonderful dinning experience at Moraldo's. First, our server was so great. She could describe every ingredient on the menu, she knew the wine list very well, she made wonderful recommendations and she was attentive to our needs. We all ordered salads to begin. The Caprese was excellent but HUGE; we would definitely recommend sharing. We all had pasta and again, the portions are enormous. Next time we will definitely order family style and share. The pasta was so fresh and many of the ingredients are straight from Italy. We all agreeded that the sauces were perfect; not overly salty or garlicky. Finally, our server recommended the Tiramisu; she built up our expectations and said that is was an old family recipe. It did not disappoint. I don't usually eat Tiramisu, but it truly was exceptional. We have eaten at most of the Italian restaurants in and about this area, and this is the best in our opinion.

My wife and I where one of their first customers the first week they opened. The food is up there with Chef Andy at Cafe Kandahar in Whitefish Mt. The only reason we stopped going to Moroldo's is that we were told by the owner that he was closing and moving on. but that is not the case YA,
my wife and friends are now making plane to retire soon.
