“Magnificent Place”
Reviewed 15 September 2013 via mobile

Found this place thruTripAdvisor and the favorable reviews are totally accurate. We stayed in The Angler cottage -- right on the river -- and loved every minute of our stay. The cottage was just perfect and the owners thought of everything! Can't wait to go back! P.S. The very best restaurant (in walking distance to the cottages) is ShowThyme. See separate restaurant review.)

We stayed at the Birds Nest cottage and were delighted by the convenient location and lovely interiors, obviously done by a professional (and a good one at that). Having a Keurig coffee machine with an assortment of coffees, cocoa and tea was a welcome addition, and all the amenities were superb. I can't imagine there is anywhere nicer in this small town.

Room Tip: I wanted a room on the river and was worried about the description of our street-side room, but was...

The owners of these cottages go above and beyond to make your stay at their charming cottages a memorable one. From free laundry (soap included), to Keurig Coffemakers in each cottage with not one or two but over a dozen choices of coffee, tea or hot chocolate to choose from! The beds are super comfy as are the pillows. I especially appreciated that the new modern air conditioner was placed high up with a ceiling fan to circulate the air so we didn't have a loud AC unit blasting cool air at bed level. Small thing, but it makes for a very enjoyable sleep. My husband loved the pocket doors too. Which we had installed them in our own ensuite. Best of all are the beautiful gardens and porch area to enjoy a glass of wine or beer at the end of a long day of hiking. And having an historic main street within walking distance made our stay in Bigfork all that more enjoyable. If you plan of visiting Glacier or Flathead Lake area I highly recommend the Bridge Street Cottages.

Room Tip: We stayed in the "Feathered Nest" which doesn't have a full kitchen like some of the o...

Traveling through Montana on a cross-country road trip, our stay at the Bridge Street Cottages was not planned, and a wonderful surprise. We had been staying at motels across America, and in between our stop in Missoula and Glacier wanted to make a stop to relax for one night. At the last minute we decided to drive by this spot, and since it was the off-season we were able to get a relatively inexpensive reservation on the spot for one night. Beautiful room, walking distance to restaurants, and a short drive to a lovely state park. Really a bright spot in the trip hotel-wise. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We've stayed here a week or more at least three times. Each stay has been exceptional.

The cottages are located within easy walking distance of Bigfork's tiny downtown. They are
self - contained, complete with washer - dryer. The only negative is the very small refrigerator.
The river front units have a great view of the roaring Swan River.

We drive from Sarasota, FL to Bellingham, WA every year and we drive well out of our way to
visit Bigfork and to stay here. It's that remarkable.

Room Tip: The river front units are quiet and offer great views of the white water Swan River.

What a nice surprise. Each cottage has a theme. Our cottage was the Feathered Nest. On the walkway, there were imprints of a humingbird and some other birds; inside there are pictures of birds; the floor lamp is made up of birdhouses; a very large birdhouse on the armoire. So cute and clever. We found the bed to be very comfortable; the "kitchen" area very do-able. The bathroom had been updated. We were in walking distance to the theater (you must go to one of the plays); we were able to walk to the many restaurants. Plan to return.

Me and my husband stayed at the cottages in April 2013 for the weekend. When we booked, there was a discount rate which made it a great deal at the time. The first night we stayed in a suite which is a cabin with a room on the front and back. Like a hotel room with a rustic woodsy feel. Very nice and cozy with a posturpedic bed. The second night we stayed in the wooded cottage. It had a small kitchenette fire place which ran off the furnace, and seperate bedroom area very nice. Each cottage has it's own theme and is decorated accordingly. Would stay again if the price is right. Summer rates can be pricey. Loved the area, shops and cafe's.
