This zoo was by far the worst zoo i have ever been too..The animals looked sick the habitats were very dirty and unhealthy.Would not recommend it all they should be shut down and animals deserve to be moved to a place that is actually going to care about thier well being dont waste your time or money so disappointed

“Great stop for not much money”
Reviewed 13 June 2011

While it's no Denver or Omaha, it's worth the small entrance fee (compared to larger zoos).
It was a disappointment that the tiger's habitat was closed and there were some paths closed but it was an inexpensive way to entertain the children for a few hours.
Bring snacks and drinks because the small gift shop only has ice cream and vending machines.

“Beautiful and peaceful.”
Reviewed 12 June 2011

Our family went to the zoo on Friday, June 3rd. We were a little worried about going because it was so windy, but the grounds were sheltered and the little wind that came in was an enjoyable breeze. In the children's zoo we saw peacocks, horses, rabbits, goats(who the kids got to feed), chickens and a vulture. Throughout the zoo we saw quite a few animals, bald eagles, wolves, golden eagle, otters etc. The bears were the best, the cubs were playing in the water and one came right up to the window where the kids were watching, it was very cool. The grounds were beautiful, some of the best habitats I've seen in a zoo and the animals were healthy and not overly shy and therefore hiding. We were unable to visit the tigers, which was too bad, but we enjoyed all the other animals we saw. Yes, it is a small zoo, but I definitely felt we got our money's worth. We got to see the snakes being fed, which the kids found absolutely fascinating, as did I. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely go back!!

“A beautiful and well kept zoo that has NO public financial support.”
Reviewed 7 June 2011

A very peaceful place to go for an afternoon outing. There are beautiful lawns and gardens. The animals are those that can winter in the outdoors in this climate-Siberian Tigers, wolverine, otters,Grizzly bears (convicted killers who have lost their freedom), bighorn sheep,Sitka deer, beaver,Red pandas, peacock and some farm animals in the homestead village. A great place (and so inexpensive) for a summer or fall afternoon. Lectures for both adults and children and classroom courses for younger schoolchildren.

“Waste of time”
Reviewed 4 June 2011

we are a military family and drove from great falls which is 3 and a half hrs away only bc its the only zoo around. The tiger exhibit was closed and they had a sign at the entrence but did not say it on their site. We saw a garden but my 18 month old and 3 yr old could care less 2 peacocks and some horsed then 2 wolves and 2 bears. Paths were closed animals were not out and I asked them for a refund they said they couldn't do it. So do not waste your time or money going to this dump of a zoo.
