“Lovely Weekend Spot in the Gallatin Valley”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

A friend from college and I stayed at Fox Hollow recently for a weekend of catching up on visiting, family news, exploring Bozeman and gazing at the mountains. Mike and Nancy are so very gracious as the hosts of this B and B! To come in the front door on a gray, windy November day to the smell of homemade bread and be offered scrumptious homemade cookies from the stash on the counter while getting oriented was truly a treat! The first of several ... we took the Dawson hosts up on their offer of a gourmet dinner prepared just for us - a Mediterranean tilapia dish with perfect green beans, homemade bread and pears poached in wine with white chocolate and - again - some delightful orange-flavored cookies. The following two breakfasts confirmed what we thought - Nancy is a superior cook who seems to enjoy preparing excellent and beautiful meals. Finally, the view of the Bridger Range from their property is unparalleled. So glad for the experience!

Our stay at Fox Hollow Bed and Breakfast in Bozeman, Mt. was our first experience with a bed and breakfast. We could not have been more pleased with all facets of our stay with them. We highly commend them for the cleanliness of our room, the décor, the amenities, and especially the wonderful breakfast that they served us. Anyone traveling to Bozeman for a short or long term stay should definitely look into Fox Hollow. Thanks Nancy and Mike!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fox Hollow Bed and Breakfast. The hosts Mike and Nancy were so friendly and welcoming they made us feel instantly at home; after being on the road for 14 days, it was wonderful to have a 2-night stop over.

We reserved the "Peaks Room" with a Cocktail Time Snacks add-on package. Such a good move, the only thing we could have done differently is picked up some beer/wine and sandwiches enroute and we could have tucked in for the night and just enjoyed our room and totally relaxed.

The bed in our room was ultra comfortable and we had a private ensuite bathroom and shower. The bedroom also had a very large sitting area with full couch, entertainment system (TV plus DVD player) and air conditioning, which we didn't need because was was nice and cool in the evenings.

As for the breakfasts, Nancy is simply an amazing cook and prepared gourmet breakfasts each day (with Mike's help) that would rival Martha Stewart. Everything was freshly prepared with a lot of care and the special blend of coffee was delicious. We met some really great people during our visit and really enjoyed the lively breakfast conversations and stories that were exchanged -- we couldn't have had a better group of people with us!

The B&B is located about 1-hr. from Yellowstone National Park, we purchased a day pass and left after breakfast and did a day trip of the park. It was a lot to take in during a short period of time, we didn't get back to the B&B until 10:30 p.m. but well worth it and we would highly recommend it.

We loved the whole experience and would love to return for another stay and tour of the area. There is a lot to see and do and next time, we would budget for a longer visit.

Fox Hollow is a lovely B & B between Bozeman & Belgrade Montana, it's ideally situated for Bozeman Gallatin Field airport and 10 minutes from down town Bozeman.
The rooms are well appointed and very clean, tidy and very 'homey' the place is run by the owners.
Some rooms are in the original private house and there are a couple of rooms in the built for purpose annex right next door.
The owners put a lot of effort into making guests feel very 'at home'
The breakfast is lovingly prepared in the kitchen and served around a communal breakfast table which enables guests to meet and share experiences and travel stories.
If you want a 'Home from Home' stay in Bozeman this is the place.
Nice location with a mountain view backdrop, there is a little noise from the freeway if outside but it's really quiet at night when inside, rooms have air con, we had an excellent en suite room with a walk through dressing room.

This B&B is a treasure in Bozeman. It is close to downtown, the airport, and the Bridger Mountains, yet feels a world away from it all when you are lying in the hammock or watching the birds on the back porch on a very quiet cul-de-sac. Mike and Nancy are the ultimate hosts, greeting me with warm cookies, making sure I had everything I needed, and making sure I had directions to my activities in the mountains and back to the airport.

I stayed in the Garden Room, which had a beautiful view over the back yard. The bed was heavenly. The room was absolutely spotless. Seriously, it was the cleanest B&B in which I have ever stayed. Mike and Nancy take a great deal of pride in what they do and it shows.

Nancy’s breakfast was to die for...chilled peach soup and oven-puffed pancakes. One of the worst mistakes of my life was scheduling a 6am flight on my last day in Bozeman, which meant that I missed Nancy’s breakfast the next day. Schedule your flight after breakfast, people. However, Nancy made a special batch of pineapple cream cheese muffins and packed some fresh fruit for me to take on my flight. So thoughtful! The muffins were delicious.

I look forward to my next visit to Bozeman and enjoying another sunset on the front porch at Fox Hollow.

Let's start with the hosts, Mike and Nancy. They have been at this B&B business at Fox Hollow for 19 years which says a lot about how much they enjoy their guests and the work of running a B&B. They were extraordinarily friendly and helpful while not "hovering" around their guests as some B&B hosts tend to do. They provided helpful suggestions for restaurants and made the reservation on our second night. They even loaned us a "jingle stick" to ward off bears for our hike to Lava Lake (which was quite wonderful by the way- no bears encountered). Now to the great food. Nancy made a delicious, multi-course breakfast each day attending to our dietary quirks with a different crepe dish and fresh fruit. It was definitely a substantial enough morning meal to hold us until mid-afternoon. We stayed in the Falls room which was upstairs in the separate guest house. It was large, very clean and well furnished with a very comfortable bed. The only thing keeping me from rating Fox Hollow at 5 Stars was a factor that Mike and Nancy couldn't really control: noise. The B&B is located some distance from I-90 so there was some vehicular sound in the distance which was manageable. It was the train coming through and the planes taking off early morning from the airport that were more disturbing. I suppose we could have kept the windows closed and had the white noise of the AC muffle sounds from outside but we enjoy the cool evening air when sleeping. Would we stay at Fox Hollow again? Yes. The food and hospitality were amazing.

We enjoyed a night in the River room, which is located in the guest room adjacent to the main home. The room was huge and included a kitcenette and comfortable sitting area. This is new construction, so if you think B and B connotes historic home with Victorian frills, this is not for you. If you want comfortable, clean lodging with a fantastic view of Bridger Bowl, accommodating hosts and an incredible breakfast, stay here! Nancy does gluten free beautifully. Breakfast started with a fresh fruit cup with an agave lime froth. It moved on to a soutwestern quiche with two salsas and a gluten free biscuit and fresh jam. The topper was a wonderful fresh peach crisp, all this and coffee and juice, too. Incredible!
