“Couldn't be better!”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

This off-the beaten track (not by much, but it offers both privacy and easy access to GNP) B&B is one of the nicest we have stayed in. It is in a lovely setting, the accommodations are splendid, and the hosts are gracious and helpful. We would certainly return if we were in that area again, and I recommend it to all.

We stayed for three nights at the Moss Mountain bed and breakfast. The Austrian style building is set in beautiful gardens and Hunter and Debi were the perfect hosts. The private balcony gave us an outstanding view and from the sun room you could watch hummingbirds feed. We were given excellent advise on which trails to walk and where to eat.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in the Quaking Aspens room and we had an excellent experience. We were looking for something quiet, away from the busy areas of major tourist hotels in Glacier and nearby towns and Moss Mountain Inn really delivered for us. The private balcony in the room had a great view of the woods, and was so nice to relax on after a day hiking in Glacier National Park.

The Inn itself is very close to the park, about 15 minutes drive through backroads to get to the West Glacier park gates (Debi helpfully has written down directions to and from the park). We did drive to the East Glacier park gate one day which was about a one hour drive. It was easy for us to get up early for breakfast at 7 and be in the park early enough to beat most of the tourists. Breakfast was filling for day hiking (yogurt, fruit, granola etc). There is also a fridge guests can use to store food/drinks.

Hunter and Debi are great hosts and really have the right mix of being helpfully available but also allowing you your privacy if that's what you prefer. They provide bear spray to sign out for hiking in the park and Hunter gave us great ideas for day hikes as well as local restaurant suggestions.

Overall, a very welcoming atmosphere and hopefully when we have a chance to return to hike more of Glacier we will definitely stay at Moss Mountain Inn.

We stayed at Moss Mountain for a few nights while we visited Glacier National Park and really enjoyed the experience. The gardens and sun room are so restful. Hunter and Debra were so helpful and had a lot of interesting stories to tell. We went to the Belton Chalet and The Back Room for suppers on their suggestion. We rode bicycles at the Hungry Horse Reservoir because Hunter told us about it. Fantastic recommendations! Breakfast are continental now, rather than cooked, but a nice variety and very filling. The third floor rooms are "snug," but comfortable. The bathrooms are as large as the bedrooms! I enjoyed reading on the third floor deck. It was everything you hope a B&B experience will be.

We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights in August. The hosts were very helpful and made great suggestions for both local restaurants and trails to take in Glacier National Park. Also, they provide bear mace if you want it. The breakfast was filling and good. We were on the top floor and enjoyed sleeping with the window open which let in the cool air. Although the property is near the road, we were not disturbed by any noises. I especially enjoyed the small room for viewing the birds at the feeders. Moss Mountain Inn is only a few minutes away from the entrance to the park but away from any traffic. If we make it back to Glacier NP we will stay there again.

We stayed at this B&B for three nights in August. It was in a good rural location and yet close to the west side of Glacier Park. The inn is tastefully furnished, the grounds were beautiful and peaceful, the hosts were gracious, and the breakfast top rate! Debi and Hunter were helpful with hiking suggestions. We had a great time here and would stay here again. Book early to avoid disappointment. They fill up early in the short season.

We picked this place because of the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. The hosts are very conscientious and interesting. We requested a room on the upper floor as we expected it to be more quiet. All of the guests were very polite, and I dont think there would have been a noise problem in any room.

The place is beautiful, with lots of flowers blooming and bird feeders everywhere. This is a great place for anyone who is interested in the environment.

The breakfasts were very, very good!!

Room Tip: try reserving on the upper floor if there are rooms available. The only quirk is that the bathroom...
