Just simply the sweetest and most charming little mountain resort one could hope for. We thoroughly enjoyed the simplicity and quality of the room and the natural setting. This is and always has been a tonic for my soul to get away from the city life and genuinely relax/slow down while visiting Glacier. Fabulous location with Whitefish and West Glacier so close.

We recommend North Forty to anyone who appreciates great service and just the right amenities for what we think is an excellent value! We truly love the place :-)

Perfect place to get a good, quiet night's sleep both before and after our river and camping adventures. We were very happy to find the North Forty Resort and its clean, comfortable, pet-friendly log cabins during our recent visit, esp. our first night which we booked last-minute. Good mattresses, great shower, nice hot tub area, very quiet.

Room Tip: Pet-friendly 16B away from highway, very quiet esp. when no one is staying in the adjacent room.

We stayed at the North Forty Resort in August/September for a long weekend break whilst having a parent over visiting.
We stayed in a one bedroom cabin (ponderosa I think) it's was ideal. The cabin was comfortable and exceptionally clean. An abundance of towels (very clean) were available and the bedding was all very clean too. It was situated in a lovely surroundings giving the feel we were in the 'woods'.
The main selling point is the convenience of location. It is a 5-10 drive from Whitefish town/village, which is beautiful with plenty of little shops and eateries. Also there is a little man made beach at Whitefish lake which at this time of year was lovely. There's plenty for children to do, we visited the great bear adventure to catch a glimpse of black bears and went to an adventure park with a maze and crazy golf, go karts etc...
Another must is the Going to the Sun Road and Glacier National Park...
Great accomodation in perfect location. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: The children's activities aren't located at the resort but there activities for all ages in...

The beautifully kept roomy log cabins are situated in a forested area out of view of the highway (MT 40) between Columbia Falls and Whitefish Montana, just a handful of miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park at West Glacier. Our cabin was immaculate, well-supplied with kitchen ware to permit meal preparation. The individual cabins are nicely separated, with asphalt drives and parking areas. Very quiet, with comfortable beds, ours was a great place in which to recharge road- weary bodies, and to get ready for the next day's travel.

We stayed three nights in a dog-friendly cabin with our two German Shepherds. We all loved the NFR. It is clean, well-cared for and well-laid out. Beautiful landscaping. An excellent trail thrust the woods makes for fine doggie excursions. Just 10" from downtown Whitefish and close to the Park's west entrance. Accommodating staff. Only one improvement comes to mind: have a guest laundry available. They have a hot tub and sauna. Why not a laundry.
We will stay at NFR again.

Stayed here for one night with two people. found cabin to be spacious. Staff eager to help. Did not notice no stove. This is a great location and very relaxing. they are stringent on check in time as we arrived early, but they are flexible on check out as we wanted to leave before they opened and someone came to help us with a smile.

Room Tip: cabins in the back seem larger

Our family of four enjoyed staying in this cabin. This cabin is more like a condo and has most of the things you would need to cook a meal, except no oven. Great location to go to Glacier Park and then Whitefirsh or Kallispel. Office staff friendly. We enjoyed taking a walk on the trail at the back of the property. Yes, a little over priced, but so is everything else in that area.

Room Tip: Aspen Suite is especially roomy.
