“Good comfy choice close to Whitefish”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

The cabins are set-up in a little neighborhood. There's not a lot of privacy but it's certainly a more spacious choice than a hotel. The word "luxury" is a bit misleading but all of the basics are there and the cabins do have nice updated TVs. There is no AC but the windows have good screens. The two hot tubs are nice to have but need to be overhauled a bit. The old traction tape is coming off and it makes them look dirty even when they are not. If you're not up for staying in town it's a good alternative.

The cabin was clean and as advertised, the location was perfectly situated between the touristy, quaint Whitefish and the more local Columbia Falls. The staff were friendly and provided us with plenty of helpful information about the area. However, be warned that the busy road can be heard from your cabin window or as you sit on your cabin porch, and that although they have advertised Wi-Fi, it never worked for us. It was also a little sad that the cabins looked out on a concrete cul de sac. Where is the bubbling brook I imagined? The staff was lovely and I couldn't say enough positive things about them.

Thank you for your review, we would like to apologize for the WiFi issues, our wireless network received an upgrade during your stay and it obviously didn't go smoothly, but it's back working now. Sorry for the inconvenience, we realize WiFi is an important amenity for our guests.

What a gem in the mountains!!! Yes, yes, yes, stay here! Close to Glacier National Park! Immaculate & dog friendly! I am a clean freak & this place does not need a lysol wipe! The owners did not miss a beat! Clean, everything you need to enjoy the northwest corner of Montana! My family & I wished we could stay here for a week to have fun with all North Forty has to offer.

We returned the long weekend in May and having stayed here before knew what to expect. We were in an Aspen suite and were not disappointed. It is quite large with a separate bedroom with two queen size beds that can be rented out separately so is totally self contained. We just left the adjoining doors open. The cabin was very clean with a kitchen that was fully equipped. The large living area has a queen bed and a hide-a-bed couch.Check-in was seamless and we were informed that any larger kitchen appliances were available. We needed a crock pot and they had three different sizes. The staff were very friendly and eager to please. The resort setting is very peaceful and the 22 cabins are well spaced out. The back bedroom is heated with electric baseboard heaters as is the bathroom in the main cabin. A gas fireplace is the only source of heat in the main living area and the fan was very loud. At night we turned the fireplace fan off and used the small table fan on low to circulate the warm air, it worked great. We loved the peace and tranquility and will definitely return.

Lovely cabin, a stones throw from Whitefish.its like camping in luxury. I could live here very easy!!!. :). I have nothing negative to say about it. Ok, the best tv and dvd player is in the kitchen, but just pull out the sofa bed and its perfect. in fact i found it the most comfortable bed to watch tv in. I would recommend this place to anyone. Would love to come back.

This pet friendly resort is located near Whitefish, Columbia Falls and Kalispell and is within an easy drive to Glacier National Park. My husband and, along with our dog, stayed in Cabin 14 which was snug and warm and very clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed with a note that more items were available just for the asking. There was a flat screen TV in the living room and another TV mounted on the wall in the bedroom. In addition to the bathroom there was an additional sink and counter top in the bedroom which I found very helpful when we were both getting ready to go out. The bed was very comfortable which I always appreciate. The cabin was spotlessly clean and maintained. There was a gas stove which was the main source of heat and there was also baseboard heating in the bedroom and bathroom so even though it was cold outside it was very comfortable in the cabin. The one thing that irritates me with many cabin rentals is the "do not..." signs posted everywhere, but this was not the case at the North Forty. They had a sheet explaining their guest policies and very little else. While there my husband and I enjoyed cross country skiing at Glacier National Park. They close the road at McDonald Lodge and you can ski from there. Needless to say the park was stunningly beautiful draped in its winter white. My husband also skied Whitefish Mountain which was an easy drive from the North Forty. The staff at the resort was extremely helpful and welcoming and we are already looking forward to our next trip there. It was a perfect stay.

My wife and I took a winter retreat to Whitefish/Columbia Falls. Our cute log cabin was lovely with a kitchen for meals. The staff is very friendly. They feature winter rates that made the resort just a little higher than a motel. Centrally located it is close to Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort, Kalispell and Whitefish. We don't live that far away so this makes a wonderful place for a three day retreat for us. They have one row of cabins on a drive that is the pet friendly area. They also have a trail out back. We shall return.

Room Tip: We had a cabin with a kitchen but they have smaller cabins as well. They also have larger cabins wi...
