Mark helped us plan a visit on short notice and freely shared advice to help us plan our trip. He was just as friendly and helpful in person. As he showed us around the place we were struck with the realization that he basically had thought of everything and we were free to use almost anything we wanted to.

As we visited with him he shared that he had travelled a lot in his career and his dream was to have a place where travelers could find anything they needed and feel comfortable and "at home". The other travelers we met were fun and interesting and the breakfasts were good and filling. He has a great library of books and maps that are free to share; he even has hiking equipment he loans out (hiking poles, bear spray, packs, etc) at no charge. There were even facilities and supplies available at no charge to wash our hiking clothes, something we did not expect!

We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. The drive into West Glacier was short and beautiful, don't let the distance form the park entrance deter you from considering this place.

The cottage we stayed in was very cute - looked western and nicely appointed. The beds were as hard as rocks, and none of us slept until we laid on top of our comforters. The breakfast was very good, except that we are not accustomed to having salad with our breakfast. The view was nice. Just didn't sleep well. For what we paid we were not very happy.

We spent 2 nights here, and have nothing but praise for the accommodations, food, and our host. Mark was more than helpful in planning out our visit to Glacier National Park, as well as our journey from there up to the Canadian Rockies. The large gatherings for the delicious breakfasts were a highlight of our stay. We always lingered longer than we had expected. Our accommodations were away from the main house, but we always had access to the main house, complementary beverages, and an extensive library of books about the area. We would most certainly stay there again!
