“What a great experience!!!”
Reviewed 15 August 2008

We stayed at the Bad Rock B&B for one week during a 3 1/2 week trip to Wyoming & Montana. It was the best place we stayed. This was not only because of the beautiful spacious room which included many thoughtful amenities, but also because of our wonderful host. Mark thinks of everything that would make a person's stay comfortable and he has a wealth of information to share about the area restaurants and great places to visit. In addition his breakfasts were great! I would recommend his place to anyone. If we come back to the area, this would be our top pick.

From the minute we arrived until our departure, we were treated like royalty. We are always pleased when our location is clean and comfortable, but this time our experience surpasses any we have had in the past. Our room was immaculate and provided us an exceptionally comfortable respite after an active day in the park.

Breakfast in the main house was quite a treat. A far cry from toast and juice, every morning we were treated to gourmet treats ranging from waffles to quiche. We always had fresh fruit, juice, and a great cup of coffee. The breakfast area is set up so that you have an opportunity to visit with other guests and share your favorite adventures from the previous day.

If we had any questions about the area, our hosts were happy to suggest good tours, sightseeing options, and restaurants. Additionally, they provided us with walking/hiking sticks, bear spray, backpacks, tour books, audio cd's, and just about anything you need to make the most of your stay. Truly, if there is something you need, all you have to do is ask and it was provided.

This B&B has been rated as one the top in North America, and after our weeks stay, we understand why. Many thanks to Mark and Serena for making this a great vacation!!!

This is definitely one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in.

Breakfast: Gourmet, delicious, and plenty of food (a hot entree, fruit, and coffee cake/dessert type item every morning or cereal and oatmeal for those who would rather).

Beds: high TC sheets, temperpedic pads, nice coverlets. Very comfortable sleeping especially with the cool mountain temps and NO bugs to worry about! Our room had ceiling fans and AC.

Amenities: I don't think there was any little convenience in the room that was forgotten (wine glasess/corkscrew, umbrella, area brochures, alarm clocks on both sides of the bed, reading lamps, etc.). And the Bad Rock "Bible" was truly helpful. Inside the main house there are plenty of books to read, bear spray, hiking sticks, coolers to pack a lunch, a basket of "forgotten items" like toothbrushes, etc.

Rec room: This is even better than described on the website. There are TONS of things to do during downtime or rainy days (pool, air hockey, darts, board games, an electric keyboard), and a small stackable washer dryer (first load is free!). But there is also a full kitchen and gas grill outside so you can buy groceries and eat in for lunch or dinner if you so choose. Also, there is a full bathroom with shower. So if you are traveling with teenagers and are feeling the need for an extra shower, it's right there.

Hosts: Mark is a gracious, friendly, HELPFUL host! He was full of ideas and did everything he could to make each guest comfortable and happy. We really enjoyed meeting him.

Vicinity: Glacier National Park is an easy 20 minute drive away. The upscale town of Whitefish with many cute shops and great restaurants is about the same in the opposite direction.

Our room: we stayed in the new Swan Lake cabin. If you are traveling as a family, I would highly recommend this room. It is very spacious - more like a mini apartment, and two bathrooms is a real treat. The only downside was the in-line water heating system and low-flow showerhead for the shower put in to be energy conscious. This means warm, but not hot water for showers. It was certainly fine, and not a real negative, just in comparison to how relaxed we felt in the B&B it was the only one little point that wasn't exquisitely luxurious.

I had read many positive reviews on this site, and I'd have to say that they are all right on the money. We will definitely stay there again, and I would highly recommend this place without reservations to anyone traveling through the area!

Our family held a reunion and 90th Birthday Party for my Father at the Bad Rock B&B. We rented the whole facility for four nights.

The out of state guests from Michigan, were thrilled with the spectacular scenery of the Montana mountains, Glacier National Park, and the Bad Rock B&B.

The accomodations were great and represented the Northwestern US beautifully.

Mark and Serena are truely exceptional hosts. (Mark even introduced a couple of the men to kayaking which they throughly enjoyed.) Their knowledge of the local area really enhanced everyone's stay.

The breakfasts were delicious, more than ample, and -WOW- what a way to start the day.

Thank you Mark and Serena for enabling our very successful reunion and 90th Birthday get-together.

Relaxing bed and breakfast near Glacier National Park. We stayed in one of the cabins and our room was comfortable and clean. They provide a room in the main house for watching TV, and an exercise room in a barn. Our room didn't have a TV (which is great for females; most males don't like). Host provided lots of information about dining (even copies of menus) and area attractions. Breakfast was in a sunny glassed in porch with HUGE tables. Very peaceful location with pretty views and was a relaxing experience.

We had a wonderful experience at Bad Rock!! The owners are awesome and are extremely hospitable! Everything was exceptional, including the breakfasts! We really enjoyed our comfortable room and the recreation room! The hosts are full of knowledge about the area and can tell you everything you need to know! The location is also great because it is away from the road, unlike many of the other lodging choices in Glacier. We would definitely recommend this B & B to anyone and look forward to staying there in the future! Thanks again for everything Mark and Serena!

I only have good things to say. We were warmly greeted by the owners upon our arrival and offered drinks in the family room (beer and wine included!). We had a room in one of their cabins, which were beautifully crafted from hand-hewn logs. The furnishings were tastefully country, and the bed was the most comfortable one I've ever slept on while traveling. The room was very, very clean and up-to-date. It was a quiet place with open pastures behind the cabin. We were served a gourmet breakfast around two large tables in a sun room, and the food was fantastic and plentiful. Mark, the host, was great at getting interaction going between the guests. He and his wife had lots of tips about driving directions, seeing the local sites, where to eat, or more importantly, where NOT to eat! A very pleasant start to our Glacier Park vacation! Definitely worth the extra money.
