You can't find more accommodating hosts than Diane and Bob. They are extremely friendly and provide you with an extremely enjoyable stay. The cabin was super! Everything was clean and new. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning with our breakfast juice, and loved even more sitting around the fireplace in the evening with our evening juice. We were in cabin #1 and our friends were in cabin #2. Great views. There was no phone (we all had cells) and no TV, and that was a blessing. We really enjoyed just kicking back and soaking in the beauty of Montana. I'd highly recommend Travelers Rest Lodge.

We had an idyllic cabin. We stayed for 3 nights. It was a so relaxing. We stayed there after we had been on vacation for a week. We actually took a day and relaxed in the cabin. It is close to town, restaurants and supplies. We took a red bus tour from the lodge which was very close. I highly recommend this cabin when you are visiting Glacier. The owners were very nice and helpful. It is clean and well arranged. Sitting in front of the gas log fireplace with a good book or sitting on the porch contemplating the scenery is very relaxing.

Travelling without reservations, I thought this would be the night we slept in the car. Found Travelers Rest just as the sun was setting in a beautiful pink sky. The room was lovely with every detail carefully coordinated. Owners gave us a tip to be sure and see the museum in Browning. Can't wait to go back and stay for several days!!!!

My son and I spent 9 days with the Scalese family and were treated like friends from the day of our arrival. We were introduced to the town locals and felt right at home with a western flair. The cabins are close to town for basic convienances, but far enough away from the hussle and bussle of more tourist-related areas.Glacier National Park is a "stones-throw" away, literally minutes into the higher elevations where snow and wildlife is abundant. We witnessed 10 bear during our visit, 3 moose, and multitudes of elk, deer, mountain goats and other wildlife that we were able to photograph"up-close".The Scaleses were very helpful connecting us to the local personalities that assisted us in finding things in the area that were "only in Montana". Indian Elk-horn carvings, photo oportunities, outfitter guides, are all available for the person that wants to experience the "Real Montana"...not just the tourist trap items that flood the senses in many areas around National Parks these days.We personally found the East Glacier area to be a refreshing escape from the faster paced lifestyle of the United States and the Travelers Rest Lodge is and excellent place to simply unwind, relax, and enjoy the natural beauty that is the Rocky Mountains.Recent additions to the property ( a new cabin and a loft apartment above the barn) add yet even more opportunities for visitors to experience this wonderful slice of Montana. Prices are inexpensive compared to many other cabins in the area and the "Bang for the Buck" surpasses them all!

We stumbled upon Traveler's Rest while touring the East side of Glacier. I wanted the Lodge and my husband wanted a cabin --- so we saw these and pulled in. The Owner, Bob, greeted us and asked if we would like to see one of the cabins. I reluctantly said yes. Wow, what a wonderful surprise! Roomy, classic cabin, with attention to decorative details, beautifully constructed, and included a lodgepole bed, fireplace, nice bath, and equipped kitchenette. Both my husband and I fell in love with the cabin, the setting, and the peacefulness of the location. Close to the little town, Glacier Lodge, and all the other great spots on the East side of the park.

We would highly recommend Traveler's Rest to anyone visiting the area. The Owners are extremely nice, helpful, and a true joy to visit with. And of course, there is Mike (female), the cat greeter!

Come, stay, relax, and soak up Montana hospitality at this quiet little retreat.

We didn't know what to expect having never visited E. Glacier, but we wanted to stay outside the National Park lodge for a change of pace. We were very pleased with the Traveler's Rest accommodations. We came for the hiking, and the lovely, comfortable cabins were perfect at the end of some long days on the trails. The fireplace and front porch were nice benefits, depending upon the weather of the day (warm and sunny or cool and wet ).
Bob and Diane are the consummate hosts. Though they plan to add a couple more cabins, we're certain it will be more difficult to book in the future as more people find out about T.R..
Would love to return again soon. Traveler's Rest fit our expectations and needs, perfectly!

This is absolutely where to stay on the east side of Glacier National Park. Clean, comfortable - cabin - is not an accurate description. These are mini vacation homes with fireplace, kitchenette, BIG bathroom and front porch with unbelievable views. The owners are on premises and very hospitable!
