We stayed in cabin 9. WONDERFUL place to stay!! Yes, the outside looks a little sketchy but the inside is beautiful and VERY clean! Wish all hotels were this nice. We will be staying here again! No breakfast but just a block down the street are a couple cafes. Great breakfast and mochas

The motel is on the main road of this little town facing the train station that is across the road. We had a room with two king size beds that could easily accommodated 4 adults. Since we were there before the season began, the price we paid for the room was well worth it. The room was very clean so was the bathroom. There was also a heater in the bathroom which was great as we had stayed in other motels that only had heaters in the rooms. In the room there was the basic coffee and bathe towels and hand towels. The room was warm during the cold nights. The couple who ran the place are real nice people who were always willing to help. He was able to give me suggestions about the time and place to photograph the East side of Glacier National Park. They also run a small provision shop and a diner about 200 meters away. The people who run the provision shop are as willing to help as the owners. Great place to stay. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.

The Whistling Swan is small, very very clean, has towels that are better than ours. Rooms are a bit small but our bathroom was large...much larger than a normal hotel. The owners are great hosts, very accommodating and knowledgeable of the attractions and activities in the area. Don't miss their restaurant, the Two Medicine Grill with a great staff and wonderful diner food.

We got their largest room $109, and that don't supply you with shampoo or Kleenex. You have to ask for those at the front. The Owners wife answers the locked door that you have to ring a bell to get in. I asked her for shampoo because I don't travel with it. I have NEVER stayed anywhere that didn't have it. The hotel has no ice machine, have to go to the owners other property , a restaurant, to get some. The employee resented having to go downstairs to do this.
I am putting on makeup, and no Kleenex . Got some for next day by Leaving a written request in
room.
Had to ask owner for bleach spray as the shower had mildew where the tub met the wall.
AC was present but very inadequate.
I won't be staying there ever again .

We were in a room for two with a double bed. The room was clean but very tiny. Very basic but the price was good. Perhaps we should have asked for a bigger room but we didn't know it would be so small, even for just two people. It is right in the middle of town surrounded by businesses, not on the outskirts so be prepared. Check in was not at the hotel but two blocks away which wasn't convenient when you don't know this beforehand.

We read other reviews and booked the kitchenette for 6 nights in June. The kitchenette had two queen beds in two different rooms, with the kitchen and bathroom in between. The bathroom was very small (only room for commode and shower - no additional room), but functional with good water pressure and very good temperature. The kitchen area had a table with 2 chairs, refrigerator, microwave, stove, cupboards, and sink. All of the pots and pans you might need are provided, along with silverware and limited cooking utensils, and plates, bowls, etc.

The housekeepers come in each day, just like a hotel, and replace towels and take out trash. It was obvious that they cared and took great pains to make the room clean! The windows open to let in fresh air (the lilacs were in bloom on our trip and smelled wonderful!), but it's across the road from the train tracks. With the windows closed, the train noise wasn't disturbing. There are fans in each bedroom, as well as portable heaters, but no a/c (it wasn't needed in June).

The rooms had wifi and DirecTV service, though we didn't use it much.

Pros: kitchen allows you to cook your own meals, which is a great money saver, friendly hosts, great housekeeping, it's only minutes to Two Medicine

Cons: slanted floor in room 1, train noise with open windows

Overall, it was a good place to stay and use as a base for exploring the park.

I trusted the previous reviews and booked a room. We found a sign directing us to the trading post down the street. Unfortunately there had been a double booking but the owner gave us room #10 which was inside and next to the office area. The room was very nice and I loved the bathroom. The queen bed was really high which I like. The only downsides were no hair dryer and no desk.
