Dancing Bears Inn
Reviewed 17 September 2013

Arriving in East Glacier without reservations we were turned away from three hotels before we found the Dancing Bear Inn. Randy, the manager was very friendly and had a small home they rent by the night, and allowed our cat. We ended up staying three nights in the home as we were very comfortable. Dancing Bear Inn had bought the old home and completely remodeled it. It is located in town and only two blocks from the hotel. The home has a queen bed in the living room, flat screen tv, a queen bed in the bedroom, a large bathroom, a laundry room a nice kitchen with good utensils and air conditioning throughout. The owners of Dancing Bear Inn have furnished the home with organic soaps, shampoos and conditioners. Their breakfast is simple, but adequate with organic seed breads and juices, coffee, teas and cereals. Breakfast can be had all day.

Just spent two nights at the Dancing Bears Motel and it was great, room was so clean nice and big. The owners Very helpful with all our desires. We are 80 years old and kind of picky but bed was nice and big and shower was nice and large and lots of hot water. On hot days it was cool and cold days it was warm and cozy. Owners always had the pot on and lots of goodies to please anyone. Their willing to help went a long ways and old people appreciate it.
Stay when you can.
Sincerely, Pat and Jack from Newport, Washington

Room Tip: Rooms near front have a covered walk way, real nice in bad weather.

My husband and I are Air Force and stopped into the Dancing Bears Inn for a night while we were moving from Florida to Alaska for a new assignment. We had two well-behaved dogs and a cat, and a trailer of our household goods; needless to say that we both had a lot on our plate. We also wanted to see some of the beauty of our nation's National Parks therefor we stopped near Glacier National Park. Randy ad Desarae are the owners and are the only two we dealt with. They were very wonderful and accommodating. They GREATLY helped my husband and I, and we had a very nice room in one of the duplex-cabins. It was clean, rustic (the way we like it), and had the modern amenities we liked! Kitchenette, flat-screen TV, nice bathroom/shower, and free WiFi. We really appreciated the breakfast they offer in the morning too. The Inn is located walking distance from a general store, Mexican restaurant, and a family restaurant/deli, and ice cream stand. Overall, it was a great location with a good price and it felt like home. The owners are good people and have definitely earned our business.

Room Tip: This Inn is pet-friendly and I would ask for the largest pet-friendly room available if you are trav...

Very friendly and helpful host and hostess. The rooms are adequate as we spent most of our time hiking and driving through the park. Self service snacks and drinks are available at the office anytime of day. The beds were comfortable, big screen TV with satellite service with free movies. The AC was efficient and provides "white noise". We liked this place and thought it is a good value.

We spent 2 nights here with our dog. Our room was in the main building. The staff made us feel very comfortable . They were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast/snacks were not fancy, but there were many choices. Location was great to walk in town to restaurants. This motel is older, but clean, with some updates. Great shower and cute comforters. The walls are super thin and the window air conditioner is super loud. The sound of the train passing through town was charming.
