The efficiency was the perfect size for two people. We were very comfortable and in walking distance of everything in town. Eddie, the owner, was totally awesome with his great knowledge of the town and Yellowstone! I even lost an ear ring and they are sending it to me! Great place!

These cabins were perfect for our vacation to Yellowstone. They were clean and basic, just what we wanted. Satellite TV was a big bonus. They are much nicer than the cabins we stayed at in Yellowstone. Owners were helpful and kind. We go back again.

Didn't look like the pictures that were on their internet site. There was a main road, a sidewalk, and one set of cottages....a gravel parking area and the other set of cottages, and then a steep drop-off down to the river. You were mostly looking across the river into neighbor's junky backyards. However, at one spot, you could see the Roosevelt Arch. The room smelled musty. There was no hairdryer. At 3 p.m., we had not received room service, but after requesting, did get clean towels. The staff was the nicest thing about the place. By the way, Lucy the Duck is in a pen with a dirty pool. We saw no wildlife, there was a salt-lick over the bank. The hot tub and gazebo looked nice, but there were too many other guests sharing it, so we didn't go. If we visit Gardiner again, I would probably upgrade to a chain motel.

We stayed in one of the "efficiencies", which are basic motel style rooms. There was an adjoining door between our room and the adjacent one, and we were particularly unlucky one night with a rowdy neighbour. The wireless internet barely worked for the four days that we were there. We only wanted a place to sleep in the park so weren't fussy, the coffee was good and the shower worked, and there was a fridge and microwave, but the air conditioning was a rattling window box which actually filled up the entire window making the room extremely dark, dingy and noisy. The external facilities such as the hot tub and riverside access were a pleasure.

My husband and I are not picky. As long as the motel is clean, has a bathroom and a coffee pot we are set. Riverside Cottages met the criteria. This was our 6th trip to Yellowstone. We have stayed in the park, Cody, Wy and West Yellowstone, Mt in the past. Our travel plans included driving the Beartooth Highway on our return trip to Billings. Since Gardiner is just outside the North Gate, it fit the bill perfectly. As a previous poster mentioned, Gardiner is not exactly a prime vacation spot. We chose this exactly for that reason. The owners of Riverside Cottages are working hard at improving their property. We stayed in efficiency number 4. Our room was dated but clean. It did have a "doggy" odor when we first walked in, but Fabreeze took care of that. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the river flow. In a conversation with Laura, the owner, the effieciency we were staying in was probably going to be torn down and new cabins built. This was a adequate place for 2 day visit to Yellowstone.

yellowstone covers so much area we had drove up from Jackson Hole so we had stoped at Old Faithful on our way up then we got up to the cottages we had one of the new cottages it was beautiful there was only my husband and I but it could have slept 6 people, who ever decorated the cottage spared no expense. There is everything you need for cooking and shopping is near by. The owners are very helpful and yellowstone is very easy to get to from the cottages. They have a nice hot tub on a deck which overlooks the river which is nice.

the owners are very nice and try to be very accommodating...however, they are working at a disadvantage in that the place is not very nice and the town of Gardiner was a disappointment, as well...from the musty smell in the room to being able to very clearly hear the guy in the next room snoring and his wife coughing it wasn't a very pleasant stay... i wish i could provide a more positive review but it just wasn't very nice...
