We stayed for three nights at the Travelodge in Gardiner. Our room was very well-equipped and kept spotless by the staff, and while the quality, inclusive, breakfast could be a little manic in the small dining facility it was very welcome for all that. There were pleasant views of the mountains from the balcony outside our room. In particular I am grateful to the owner and staff for their help. I arrived not feeling very well, and was thinking we might have return to UK early. They advised on getting medical care, were happy to cancel our other two nights or hold the room if we were advised we could continue. In the event this was the case, and we were very grateful for their flexibility. Being outside the Park was no great disadvantage as Gardiner is so close, especially for access to the northern part of Yellowstone, and accommodation is clearly much cheaper than being in the Park itself. So overall an excellent base in Gardiner.
