We stayed only one night at the Yellowstone Village Inn, but we would have enjoyed a longer stay. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Wi-Fi worked well. The continental breakfast was simple -- muffins, apples and coffee/tea/juice.

We were not in the room much as we spent all our time in the park. It's a short drive to the north entrance of Yellowstone, so the location is great.

The room rates are pretty standard for the area.

Enjoyed our stay...king room large...clean...not really close to anything would have to drive into town. Staff was very nice...had towels for our motorcycles...breakfast was ok.....did laundry here....reasonable price considering how close it is to Yellowstone.

I chose to book my family for a one-night stay here at this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews. So glad I did. We booked a two bedroom suite (actually sleeps 6 because there's a full bed in the living room) with one bathroom. The suite was very clean and spacious and came with a full kitchen.

Pros: Free Internet in the lobby/in some rooms (not ours, but that's OK - we weren't there for the connectivity), a decent free continental bfast spread, great location, easy parking, extremely clean. comfortable beds, decent bathroom amenities.

Cons: The A/C unit itself was fine, but located in the living room. Thus, if you wanted/needed A/C at night, you had to sleep with your doors open to get the cool air. Obviously this is not a problem during the times of the year when you can sleep with the windows open (the hotel was pleasantly quiet so this is entirely possible to do; our windows faced what seemed to be an abandoned racetrack) or when it's in the winter (in which case, I didn't get to test out the heat), but it was necessary the weekend we were visiting.

Staff was kind and courteous. Would return if we needed a place to stay.

Nice place to stay outside the park. Very clean rooms, #1 priority. On the edge of town but no problem with a car; actually nice as you feel your car is more secure. If the primitive descriptions and high prices of in-park hotels put you off, this is a good alternative if you have the patience to drive all the way back.

Room Tip: Rooms "with view" also overlook parking lot

I picked Yellowstone Village Inn from Tripadvisor and I am glad I did. Our room was so clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was a great start for our day in Yellowstone Park! The owners, Wanda, Burt and their son Kevin were so welcoming and helpful! We felt "at home" and will certainly stay here again if we return.

Like home away from home! Clean, comfortable & cozy! Continental breakfast was a perfect way to start our days of sightseeing! Simple & yummy! Rooms were spacious and updated with one of the most comfortable mattresses other than my own! Everything was clean and neat, right down to the outdoor space. The owners/staff were extremely friendly and always ready with a good story!
We will definitely stay at the Yellowstone Village in on our next trip to Montana!

My husband and I decided to stay in Gardiner the middle of Labor Day weekend, so we were pleased to find the Yellowstone Village Inn had a vacancy. It's a rustic styled, yet comfortable hotel with a nice view on the north edge of town. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the continental breakfast was good. There was an indoor pool, but we didn't use it. The only thing I wished it had would be balconies from the second floor rooms, so one could fully enjoy the views. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!
