“Great spot to stay to visit Yellowstone NP”
Reviewed 29 September 2013

We recently stayed here for 4 nights then for 3 nights the following week. We had a kitchen suite that has a fridge microwave, toaster coffee machine. We were visiting Yellowstone to do photography so we wanted to be up by 5 am to be in the park before sunrise. The kitchen unit allowed us to make our own breakfast because the hotels breakfast isn't open until after 6 am.
Their location is about 2 miles from the north entrance to Yellowstone NP, so the location is perfect. We found that being close to the north entrance to the park allowed us to get to the locations we wanted to see faster than staying in West Yellowstone. The units are clean comfortable and reasonably priced. you could walk to restaurants from there or make a 3 minute car ride to any eatery in Gardiner

Room Tip: If you visit the area book a early if you want choices

Hotel was conveniently located by the North entrance to Yellowstone. The room was clean and snug. Pillows were not very comfortable. Wifi and TV were a welcome treat having just stayed at a cabin which had neither. Basic continental breakfast was included in the price - bagels, toast, muffins, apples and coffee and tea. Coffee and hot water for tea are available throughout the day. Nice touch. A bit on the pricey side at $130/night. The town had plenty of eating establishments.

Room Tip: Try not to get a room next to the breakfast area if you want to sleep in the morning - you can hear...

Very nice, very clean cozy hotel--nice quilt on bed. We were right next to "kitchen" so felt like we had an apartment !! This is literally by the North Yellowstone gate so very convenient. One evening elk were grazing in the front yard--pretty cool. My only complaint is that there was no dresser of any kind in the room, I asked for a third luggage rack and was told there are only 2 per room. Muffins were nice, and coffee and tea available at night--nice touch. Cozy decor as well.

Room Tip: If you do end up with a really small room it's nice to be as close to the kitchen as possible.

Visiting Yellowstone. Nice property/well maintained and family run. Coffee/tea always available. Continental breakfast. Right at the north entrance to the park. Comfortable room. Inviting lobby. Lots of Elk wandering about property, Beautiful setting. I took off marks because of its expense - but this is due to Yellowstone factor?

Nice hotel on the north edge of Yellowstone Park. We had a pleasant, quiet stay, including a breakfast with a large assortment of muffins! If there are rooms on the back side of the hotel, they might be quieter at the height of tourist season.

Spent one night at this hotel after viewing TA reviews. Wow - Trip Advisor had this one right. The staff Wanda, Burt, & Kevin were wonderful. They welcomed us as if we were in their home. Rooms were spotless, laundry room, wifi, tea and coffee available in the evening.
After learning that we were on our way to the "boiling river" they let us borrow a towel to dry off.
The location is just outside the north entrance of Yellowstone which was so convenient.
If it were possible to stay here longer, we would have changed travel plans to do so.
My advise is to pass up all the chain hotels and make a special trip to this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor.
