We loved the Iron Horse, a honky-tonk fine dining experience. The bison meatloaf and trout were both excellent, as was the romaine side salad. Our server was speedy, attentive and friendly. The quality of food from the open kitchen was a big surprise given the converted warehouse-pool table-stuffed-animal ambience. Nothing hokey about the place though. It was built on the site of the old freight terminal and the walls are covered with local history material. Check out the abandoned jail next door. One caveat if you go in late season: the place has no heat and no insulation so take a coat.

Nicely varied menu of really good food. The service was thoughtful, friendly and on time. The deck is a great place to gather, relax and enjoy the great air of the river valley.

On the river, in West Yellowstone. Location great once you find it and find parking. It's a long down hill trek if you can't. Have a bar if you have to wait. Vegetables are fresh and chefs know their stuff when it comes to food prep. Meatloaf was popular with the less
adventurous.
Weather permitting try to sit outside with the views of the mountains and the river. Also upon arrival the outside of the building doesn't look too inviting to city folk but, it's worth it.

Cowboy Bar...with Antique Decorations...however Food and Service was very good. We had Trout and Ribs and both were very good. Outside seating was very good...inside atmosphere was Honky Tonk/Sports Bar...we went for a meal and it was very good...we were pleasantly surprised based on the atmosphere.
