“Great place to stay!”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

Very reasonably priced, clean rooms, hot showers, fridge and microwave. Parking is a little tight, good thing we were in a small car. Owners were very nice and accommodating. We came in late and they had everything ready for us to check in. Would stay again

Well located on the park’s perimeter. Very close to attractive hiking trails and the Mammoth Springs travertine. Owner provides you with kitchen supplies. The cottage is big enough for two double beds. In our cabin, the Internet connection was poor and we were not far from the source. Nice thick towels replaced everyday. If asked, owner will lend you bear spray for the duration of stay. Rates are reasonable for late September.

Old-fashioned cottages very close to the gates of Yellowstone. They are clean and comfortable with good showers, but tight on floor space and the grounds are rather bare. We had a kitchenette but there were no dishes or utinciles provided so I don't understand the point of that. We stayed only one night so it was all fine, but it might not be the best place for an extended stay.

This was a decent place to stay. It was clean and the people there were EXCELLENT! We wanted a BBQ and they brought one right to us. We stayed one night as we were driving through Yellowstone. The downside to this cottage was the television. It was old and there weren't any channels that were provided that were interesting. Would have liked to see an updated TV with more channels.

After spending a week + in the Black Hills, etc, we decided to get a motel close to Yellowstone Park. W. Yellowstone was way too expensive and after checking out Gardiner, MT, 5 miles north of the gate, we decided to stay at the Hillcrest. Darling little cabins with kitchenettes ($100.00 / 2 people), with friendly owners/staff, and altho there was No Smoking the little porch and bench allowed a smoker that first /last smoke of the day. Not an inconvenience at all, coming from a smoker! Would definately stay there again!!

Room Tip: no swimming pool or fitness centre---not needed if you're in the Park everyday.

Great little cottages in the village of Gardiner right at the north entrance to Yellowstone. The cottages are roomy, have cooking facilities, good sized bathroom, large tv, what more do you need and even a view of the mountains. The owner was very helpful when booking and offered anything needed to cook with. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

We booked this based on price, location and amenities offered and we feel Annie and Art delivered on all of these. The area was quiet and within the town so nowhere was more than a 5-10 minute walk, if that. We borrowed enough crockery and kitchen utensils to be able to make ourselves basic meals but to be honest, there are a good selection of tempting restaurants around Gardiner so we quickly abandoned our idea of preparing any other food than breakfast. When we did use the appliances they all worked fine and without incident.

Bed was clean and comfy and I think the towel fairies made an appearance every day to change them, even tho we would've happily kept the same for a few days. Wifi was a secure connection but sometimes a bit sketchy, having said that, we didn't come all the way to Yellowstone to be glued to the Internet.

The park entrance is literally up the street and round the corner and for $88 a night for.a queen bed cottage in this area, you really can't go wrong, Both Art and Annie were very helpful and friendly too.
