“Great View if You Can Get It”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2013

We were upgraded to a river view of the river which was very much appreciated. Location is great! The restaurant for free breakfasts is in another building but the token system seems to work very well - no problems; good hot breaklfast. The hotel building is getting a little old but is still in good shape. Staff was especially helpful with suggestions when Yellowstone was closed due to the Government Shutdown. They also made us a new reservation in another city. All in all, a very positive experience and we'd stay there again.

This hotel is great for starting your adventure in Yellowstone. The beds are very comfortable, the internet is fast, they have a spa and pool and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast is buffet style in a restaurant up the hill and selection is about what you would expect. There are 2 entrances to each room. One directly to the parking area and one to a interior hallway. The outside door is great for loading and unloading gear. May be a concern for people with safety issues, but seemed secure to me. Due to the winter storm heading our way, we checked out a day early with no problems. This was our second stay at this hotel and we would definitely stay again. You can actually see the North Gate of Yellowstone from the hotel.

This Best Western was perfectly situated just outside the west gate entrance to Yellowstone. Clean and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast if free ( would not have paid for it) On the second day I asked the hostess at the restaurant if I could order off a menu her reply was honest " " Save your money, the cook doesn't get any better, even after his coffee". We would stay here again, a small grocery store up the street made fresh sandwiches, which were excellent, for taking into Yellowstone if you wanted to save a few bucks.

Room Tip: If going into Yellowstone west entrance, do Tower rd., in Mammoth, that's where we saw all kinds...

Good accommodation, good beds, clean, plenty of parking. A great alternative to staying in Mammoth. Views over the river and hills close to eating houses and bars. Staff friendly and efficient. Close to North entrance of the National Park.

Stopped here for one night - wish it had been two. Hotel very comfortable, roomy, big beds, all amenities in the rooms. Had dinner in adjoining restaurant which was superb! Nice relaxed atmosphere with fantastic food. Staff extremely nice and helpful. Loved it all. Unfortunately we didn't have time to look round Gardiner itself, but would have loved to do so.

Nicely decorated room also a pool and whirlpool to relax as well as laundry facilities which came in handy. Restaurant .....this place has it all! We really enjoyed our stay in Gardiner Montana on our way to Yellowstone park.

Our first night was in a non-view room. Wall behind the room was ugly at best and room needed updating. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Second night we were moved to a view room. The view was great. Still need some updating. But comfortable and quiet for sure. The breakfast was outstanding. Staff was friendly.
