Good bed, great breakfast, no issues or problems at hotel. The scenry with all of the wildlife is great, could not be better. Only issue with the hotel was the lighting in the room made it difficult to read. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting YNP.

The room was clean and decent. The shower creaked a little because the bottom felt uneven. The breakfast was ok. Would've like for them to change up the menu instead of having scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, and biscuits and gravy every day. Pool, hot tub, and sauna were nice to have. Nice views of the wildlife right across the river.

This has always been a great hotel to stay at just outside of Yellowstone National Park. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food is good at the restaurant and parking is great. The River View rooms are really nice and highly recommended (you can see elk, bison, antelope across the river from your window).

Okay pillows matter to me and these were good. The room smelled a bit chemically but we were next to the laundry room and Lord knows why, it wasn't busy. Two very comfy beds, fridge, coffee maker all the usual stuff, but with a bit of mountain flair. Some very nice artwork and cute "bear" lamps. Flat-screen TV and an excellent Montana guide book. The breakfast is at the restaurant next door - not a problem and seemed extensive although we haven't tried it yet. East to find and close to everything. there were female elk grazing at the back of the property. Like the heat lamp in the bathroom. Staff were lovely.

Room Tip: Upstairs on the odd-numbered side. You have a great view.

This is a very good winter place to stay in Gardiner! We were out gleefully cross-country skiing in Yellowstone for five days and quite happily came back to the motel's hot tub each evening. Our room was big, warm, comfortable, very clean, and nicely decorated. Since we were upstairs, we had a beautiful view of Electric Peak every time we went outside. The breakfast included with the room rate was a hearty buffet with such things as scrambled eggs, French toast, sausages, granola, oatmeal, yogurt, blueberries, and cut fruit. The motel rooms have small refrigerators and microwaves, and the Gardiner Market is nearby for groceries and a lot of general merchandise. It was good to be close to the Park entrance and five miles from the visitor center at Mammoth Hot Springs, and we saw elk, bison, and coyotes along the road every day as we headed for the trail heads well rested and breakfasted.

We got a river view room which was in a different building than the main hotel. The view out the window was pretty amazing, right above the river and we watched a herd of elk in the evening, then a mule deer the next morning from the window! Hotel is easy to find and rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was in a restaurant next to the hotel and was a nice selection of hot food, cereal etc. You do have a server to bring drinks so you might want to tip a few bucks for that. The only drawback of the river view rooms is that the pool/spa is in the main building so it requires a walk across the lot to get to...probably not a big deal in summer, but pretty much a deal breaker in the winter! However, we were not planning to use the facilities so we were happy with our river view!

Room Tip: River view rooms are very nice but in a different building than the pool

While visiting Yellowstone recently, my husband and I stayed here. We booked a mountain view room, and were given a room on the first floor, with a view of the parking lot. (Slightly misleading.) Our room had a door on the inside and a door to the outside... which we weren't super comfortable with, but we accepted it. The room itself was fine. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and had all of the amenities we could need. We didn't sleep super well, however, because of the traffic coming in and out of the parking lot and the doors slamming to the rooms around us.
We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room while we were visiting, so it was a fine stay overall.
