Very informative and well-curated exhibits giving a chronological account of Lewis and Clark's journey. We thought we would just go through quickly, but wound up there for two hours. I found it so interesting that I bought a one-volume abridgment of Lewis and Clark's journals in the museum bookstore, and I've nearly finished reading it!

“More than we expected”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We are on a Lewis and Clark Trail trip, we started in Billings, MT and following it to Astoria, OR. This museum explains a lot about their journey and what they went through. The staff is very helpful if you have any questions and the two films are very good. We stopped in twice while staying in Great Falls. Well worth the trip.

“Make sure it's part of your Montana vacation plans”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

We stopped at the museum in the morning before driving out to the mountains for our vacation. We thought it was great with its excellent and informative exhibits that will be enjoyed by both adults and children. The staff was also very helpful, and directed us to other sights in the Great Falls area.

“Didn't leave enough time”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

Very informative - great exhibits and the movies really add to the experience. Sad to say, I had to rush through the last half because we needed to be somewhere else. Will plan on more time next time.

“A gem on the Great Falls of the Missouri.”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

Visiting this museum right on the Missouri River provides a surreal experience and connection with the adventure of Lewis and Clark. The museum is absolutely wonderful, providing two different and important views of the journey west. You get to see and experience the hardships of Corp of Discovery as well as experience the various Native American cultures that were encountered. There are also plenty of hands on opportunities for the little ones. Try to go on a sunny day as there are some trails right outside of the center that are worth experiencing.
