“Subpar for a Hampton Inn”
Reviewed 20 March 2014 via mobile

The rooms are older and the heater lever didn't work - when I tried to see what was going on the whole plastic piece flew off. Bathroom looked like it just had a quick once over and no hand soap was available - one shower bar soap had to be used for both.

For the price we paid, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of our room, also the size. The carpet was stained and there was a faint smell of smoke. With cleanliness being the main thing I look for, I give this just an 'average' review. Maybe they gave us the last room; I know they were nearly full. The breakfast was above average.

I love this hotel. I always get a good nights sleep because the beds are so comfortable and the hotel is always very quiet (well, OK, one time it was a tad noisy because there was a very large high school sports team staying there, running up and down the halls loudly talking to each other, but that was one out of maybe 10 or 12 stays at this hotel and considering the number of kids and the amount of noise they were making, my room was rather quiet). The rooms are clean, with hair dryers and a few toiletries.

Check-in and check-out are speedy. The staff will slide your receipt under the door on the final day of your stay so that you don't even have to go to the front desk to check out! The staff is always professional, and often there are (free) cookies in the lobby. The Hampton is only a few minutes from the airport, and the free shuttle typically arrives quickly. If you drive or rent a vehicle, there is always plenty of parking! And they will even allow guests to leave their cars parked at the Hampton while they are out of town (for example, you can stay the night and take the shuttle to the airport, and then the shuttle will pick you up and bring you back to the hotel; I should note though that I've only done this when I am staying at the hotel at each end of my trip but I don't know if that's a requirement).

If you have to catch an early flight before the continental breakfast begins, they offer a bag breakfast (fruit, snack bar and bottle of water). The full breakfast includes fruit, yogurt, cereals, bagels and muffins, waffles and typically some kind of cooked eggs and cooked breakfast meat. Plus milk, apple and orange juice.

Coffee is available in the lobby 24/7, with a choice of decaf, regular or robust, as well as hot water and tea bags and envelopes of hot cocoa mix. Rooms also have a small coffee maker. There are also some chain restaurants (both a Chili's and a McDonald's as well as a couple of others) within walking distance, at the shopping center across the street. But there are no other businesses on the Hampton side of the street so there isn't a lot of traffic to interfere with the quiet.

There is a fitness room with some medicine balls, an elliptical and a few other pieces of exercise equipment. Then there is the hotel pool and hot tub.

One of my favorite features is that it is the kind of hotel requires a key card to enter the building. Only the doors to the front lobby aren't keyed.

Room Tip: The rooms I have stayed in have always been on the south side of the building, but I really don'...

Repeat customers to Great Falls every year. Our experiences have been great. Parking is convenient and close. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful in all respects and inquiry. Place is always very clean including pool and hot tub. Quality, quantity, variety and hot meal at a.m. continental breakfast is always great as is the helpful girl who maintains the area. New eating area is new and innovative.

The Hampton is the perfect spot to stay on flying out or staying the night to access the I15. Great breakfast. Great eating establishments and shopping and getting a book to read on your trip. Place to leave your car when flying out, excellent shuttle service on departures and easy to access arrivals when you return.

This hotel is close to the airport, shopping, restaurants, the interstate and downtown Great Falls. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The staff has always been friendly and it's nice to have a bite to eat before starting a long day
