WOW, it looks like downtown Great Falls is waking up to the 21st Century even though this place feels like an Irish pub. It's located in an old brick building that possibly was a warehouse. The food is creative and delicious and the beers on tap are incredible (and a surprisingly good selection of tap wine). Seriously, we've been coming to Great Falls for several years for long weekend getaways and hadn't been back for a year. This place rocks and feels like a restaurant pub you'd see in downtown Minneapolis, Portland or Denver. Several things going for it: food is creative, tasty and well-presented... local beer selection outstanding... interior decor is 5 stars. A waitress said they are going to open a boutique hotel above. Would love to stay there on our next visit. Way to go, Celtic Cowboy, 5 STARS TO YOU for having the guts and drive to do it Big City in Great Falls! The town deserves it.

Celtic Cowboy's attention to fresh food and presentation make it the best food in town for lunch or dinner. If you want a bison burger with hand-cut fries or the freshest sea bass you'll find in Montana, this is the place. They have Guiness on nitrogen (mmm the best kind), all kinds of fine beers, and live music. Like dessert? They make their own ice cream with chocolate cheesecake and an oreo crust. Or if you want to get your fancy on, get the baked brie with white chocolate ganache. Whatever you get, it's going to be delicious. Go to Celtic Cowboy. You won't regret it.

We had lunch at the Celtic Cowboy. The atmosphere is great. There is a lot of interesting history in there. The colors are warm and inviting. It was nice to see Theresa there. She formerly managed Bert and Ernie's and is now managing this restaurant. The service was very slow. As we had not been there before we had a lot of questions and asked for recommendations. Our server could not answer those questions or make recommendations. There was opportunity to sell us on the food. We also had to wait for drinks and refills. Our food was not delivered for at least 20 minutes and no one checked on us. But the food was very good. It was plated great, too. The fries were super. I had the reuben. It was a large sandwich and it was very good. The burger was very tasty. The buns from Great Harvest were excellent. Overall we had a great experience and will be in again.

Very well appointed pub. Food was average, found the sea bass to be undercooked and kind of watery. Service was good.

While they offer dishes that most places do not have, they are way overpriced for this type of town. Atmosphere is awesome and the have a great Bar. Not sure this is a place that speaks to the clientele of this town
