My husband and I celebrated our 14th anniversary at the Deer Crossing Bed and Breakfast and we are glad that we did. The place is like paradise, and the owners Stu and Linda are very warm and friendly. I am looking forward to visiting again.

We stayed for four nights in the Montanan cabin, overlooking the meadow. Every morning we were treated to deer, elk bugling, turkeys as well as Steller's jays and magpies. After coffee in the cabin, we headed on up to the sunroom for a delicious home cooked breakfast. Great cabin, fully equipped and nice and clean! Stu and Linda gave wonderful suggestions for activities and wonderful places for dinner, including the amazing farm to table restaurant, Sleeping Child Farm to Table Restaurant. We hated to leave and can't wait to go back. The best Bed and Breakfast we've ever stayed at! Jeff and. Zoe Greenwood

One of great things about owning a B&B is that we get to live here in the Beautiful Bitterroot Valley and that we see people from all over the world, from all walks of life. It is our joy to have you as our guest and wish you did not have to leave either.... although it would get a little crowded. Guess there's room in the barn with Freedom, Shiloh and DonKay... See you again soon. Montana forever!

We stayed in the Homestead cabin and it could not have been more perfect for a couple from England looking for a highly atmospheric place to stay in a beauytiful rural setting. We sat on the wooden porch and watched as Deer hopped over the fence and then the owl swooped down towards the pond. Perfect. The cabin was very comfortable and warm and totally peaceful. Stu and Linda cooked up some of the heartiest and most inventive breakfasts we saw in the Lower 48 and we shared the table with some delightful people, some of whom we are still in contact with. Lots to do in the area and Hamilton is a super little town with a great Saturday market and a man in the local Tourist Office who will give you the best greeting and spot on information. After a month in the US Deer Crossing was our favourite place to stay. Thank you.

Room Tip: Homestead Cabin - rustic but very characterful

After driving for over 8 hours, much of it in the rain, we arrived at Deer Crossing to find a warm and friendly welcome. Stu had turned the portable heater on in our room and it was wonderful to walk into such a warm room! We were originally booked in to a smaller less expensive room, but Stu upgraded us to the Big Sky room at no extra charge (Linda's mother was staying in the room we had reserved) and it was perfect. Our plans had been to hike and sightsee, but with the low clouds and rain, we spend most of the next day reading and snoozing. I am sure the view from that room is outstanding, but due to the weather, we were unable to enjoy it. :( However, the location and hospitality of Deer Crossing more than made up for the weather!

I highly recommend Deer Crossing if you are looking for a very relaxing and peaceful spot not that far off the beaten track. We left rested and refreshed.

Room Tip: The Big Sky room is upstairs in the main house and has an awesome view. It was very private and quie...

If you are looking for a picturesque setting, rooms decorated with a rustic Montana feel, wonderful hosts and food, and a place to just relax, kick back, or even find inspiration and a place to slow the pace of life down, this is your place! My husband and I have been coming for over 14 years, usually once or twice a year and out of all the places we have traveled to and all the bed and breakfasts we have stayed at this is our favorite! Stu and Linda are wonderful hosts and make you feel right at home. Our favorite room is Big Sky, the views are amazing and the room is very spacious and offers your own private deck that looks over the valley. Getting up early, getting a cup of coffee, sitting on the deck and just taking some time to relax and take in the scenery is something that everyone should get to experience!! Having a place like this to come to year after year, and just slow down the pace and craziness of life, even if just for a couple of days is something my husband and I look forward to every year, hence why we have been coming for 14 years. If you have never been to the Bitterroot Valley I would highly recommend you take a trip, stay at Deer Crossing and take in the fun events, hiking, fishing, local restaurants and again most of all the captivating scenery, you will not be disappointed!!!

We had a very large room, suite really, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the humming birds were plentiful. Highly recommend Deer Crossing B&B. As we often do, we had a picnic supper on their large and well equipped decks. We enjoyed watching about a half dozen turkeys and numerous deer while sipping wine and enjoying a picnic supper.
