We stayed at the AmericInn in Havre recently, and to say the least, I was unimpressed. We have stayed at AmericInns before, and I always felt you got reasonable value. Not this time. The foldout couch was totally worthless to sleep on, and a fix by the manager was of little value. The breakfast was absolutely awful one morning, and the person in charge had no idea what she was doing. Scrambled eggs she heated up in the microwave were stone cold, and the sausage wasn't much better. She explained that she had hoped the steamer would have heated it up more before more people had come in to eat breakfast. It was 8:00 am. We also had asked for a rollaway on the last night, got none, but it was still on the bill. We got our money back on that, but I had to ask for it. The attendant at the front desk had long hair and shirt hanging totally out of his pants, which was a totally unprofessional look. He was non-chalant and didn't seem to have any interest in helping solve the rollaway problem. I was very disappointed with this particular property.

This is the nicest place we stayed at on our 10 day road trip. Everything here looks brand new. We got a double queen room on the second floor in the corner and it was huge - comically huge. The beds are very comfortable. With a large, super clean bathroom, big screen TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and other amenities, we could not possibly have asked for a better room anywhere at any price. This place also has a very nice indoor pool, mediocre fitness room and a nice inviting patio where we ate our supper. Breakfast was top notch, about as good as any free hotel bereakfast can be.
For all this, the cost was $25.00 less than what I was quoted at the Best Western at the other end of town. So, why not 5 stars? This is an interior corridore property but it's biggest downfall is it's location. This hotel is within walking distance to . . . well, nothing but a very long walk. Still, Havre is easy to get around in, and you're in town in just a minute or two by car.

Room Tip: All rooms are indoors and quite a hike from the parking lot so, are eqaul in atmosphere and convenie...

Our room was pretty basic, but the hotel has a pool and a hot breakfast is included. I wasn't crazy about the fact that the room window opened at the back of the hotel and was only a couple of feet above the ground outside. Not very private or secure. One more thing: don't you think if a bed sheet has been laundered (one hopes) and still has stains of blood splatter (or something) on it, that it should be retired from service? Just sayin'.

This was a stopover for us on our way back to NC. This was our first stay in an Americinn. We had a room with 2 queen beds on the 2nd floor. The room and bathroom were clean. Linens, towel and pillows were very nice. The bed was a little too soft for us, but it was bearable.

The room was quiet for the most part. There were a couple of times that I heard the person next door cough and a door or two shutting. Other than that, no other noise was heard. The hotel displayed information at the registration desk about extra insulation they have added between the blocks in the walls to make the rooms quieter.

The staff at the registration desk was helpful and friendly. Cookies were available in the evening. The breakfast was typical continental with the addition of gravy and link sausage.

We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but both looked very clean. I liked their policy on pool use - adults only from 10:00 pm until 12:00 am! Just sorry that we were too exhausted from driving to take advantage of the quiet time at the pool!

We stayed here for one night, passing thru heading east. Great location, lots of places nearby to eat. This was recommended to us because the best western was booked. This is a new hotel and like all AmericInn's they have good sized rooms. Their breakfast has lots of choices. Pool and hot tub were very clean

We were driving across Montana on US-2, looking for a place to stay, when we came across AmericInn. We booked a king room, which had two rooms separated by a French door. Our daughter loved having "her own room!" There was a microwave and refrigerator and a flat-screen TV (one in each "room"). The bed was wonderfully soft and comfortable, and we all slept great!

The breakfast the next morning was wonderful and had many different options. We would stay again if we ever came this way!

I have to go to Havre occasionally on business. I found that I can count on this Americinn for a clean and quiet hotel room, beautiful location, and a good breakfast. It's been there a few years now, and the initial entry smells less "new" than it did back then, but the quality of the facility is well maintained. Glad I stayed.
