The hotel is clean and kid friendly. We were there for a hockey jamboree. The staff was very nice to the kids and that is huge for me. I have stayed in a lot of hotels that weren't kid friendly so I will definitely be back stay here again!!

We arrived late, but check in was a breeze. We slept well and room was basic but very clean. Breakfast was good, lots of choices and hostess was very pleasant. Location is easy to find, great stay for price!

Looks like a new hotel. Rooms were very clean. Would recommend asking for a room not near the lobby for more quiet. The hotel was half empty the nite we stayed so noise was not an issue.
The beds were excellent.

Room Tip: Stay away from the rooms by the lobby

We had stayed here once before and, upon checking out noticed people walking their dogs around the outside of the buiding and an OBVIOUS sign (see photos attached) that is posted on the garbage can in main area by the side entrance but visible to all who enter that says, " please take pets to gravel parking lot" Hmmm, what does that mean???? and then when you google "Pet Friendly hotels in Havre" the top of the page is the Americinn Lodge, You pull up the web page ?NO WHERE? does it say NO PETS ALLOWED, it states "Smoke free" but nothing about "NO PETS ALLOWED". Then after reading the reviews I read this"

“Wonderful place to stay with our Dog”
Reviewed October 25, 2012
We needed to go to a funeral in Havre and wanted to take our dog. The AmericInn was recommended and we stayed two nights. Really clean, great beds, wonderful hotel and they were so friendly with our dog. We stayed on the ground floor, close to the side door. Everything about their Pet Friendly policy was easy, welcoming, and conducive to us making this difficult stay easier."

We didn't even think twice about taking our 7 lb Shitzu to the room with us the 2nd time we stayed, She does not shed, she sleeps in her bed, she likes to be held, and since All other indications prior and nothing posted different we felt pretty confident. WAIT, NOT TOO FAST,,,,, the moring we were ready to check out the manager knocks on our door and says " Do you have a dog in here?", "WHY Yes we do,not trying to hide anything, since we knew we had done nothing wrong?, AND then she proceeds to tell us that there are NO dogs allowed, to our shock and dismay we were somewhat speechless, but the reviews, the signs, the no postings of No dogs allowed. etc. She then proceeds to hand us our bill with a heafty fine of $ 250.00 and pointed out the last couple of lines on the sign in contract in very small fonts says no pets allowed, and said "you initialed here" We were tired and ready for bed after a long day of work and traveling so unfortunately did not read ,so from now on EVERYONE better read all of the small print before you check in.
I for one feel like this is a set up to be able to rape money from customers due to lack of proper communication and false advertising. We did not try to break any laws and we were respectful and we still treated like criminals. We will NEVER stay here again!!!!!!!

We stayed at the AmericInn in Havre recently, and to say the least, I was unimpressed. We have stayed at AmericInns before, and I always felt you got reasonable value. Not this time. The foldout couch was totally worthless to sleep on, and a fix by the manager was of little value. The breakfast was absolutely awful one morning, and the person in charge had no idea what she was doing. Scrambled eggs she heated up in the microwave were stone cold, and the sausage wasn't much better. She explained that she had hoped the steamer would have heated it up more before more people had come in to eat breakfast. It was 8:00 am. We also had asked for a rollaway on the last night, got none, but it was still on the bill. We got our money back on that, but I had to ask for it. The attendant at the front desk had long hair and shirt hanging totally out of his pants, which was a totally unprofessional look. He was non-chalant and didn't seem to have any interest in helping solve the rollaway problem. I was very disappointed with this particular property.

This is the nicest place we stayed at on our 10 day road trip. Everything here looks brand new. We got a double queen room on the second floor in the corner and it was huge - comically huge. The beds are very comfortable. With a large, super clean bathroom, big screen TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and other amenities, we could not possibly have asked for a better room anywhere at any price. This place also has a very nice indoor pool, mediocre fitness room and a nice inviting patio where we ate our supper. Breakfast was top notch, about as good as any free hotel bereakfast can be.
For all this, the cost was $25.00 less than what I was quoted at the Best Western at the other end of town. So, why not 5 stars? This is an interior corridore property but it's biggest downfall is it's location. This hotel is within walking distance to . . . well, nothing but a very long walk. Still, Havre is easy to get around in, and you're in town in just a minute or two by car.

Room Tip: All rooms are indoors and quite a hike from the parking lot so, are eqaul in atmosphere and convenie...

Our room was pretty basic, but the hotel has a pool and a hot breakfast is included. I wasn't crazy about the fact that the room window opened at the back of the hotel and was only a couple of feet above the ground outside. Not very private or secure. One more thing: don't you think if a bed sheet has been laundered (one hopes) and still has stains of blood splatter (or something) on it, that it should be retired from service? Just sayin'.
