We spent several days at the Amber Bear Inn in Heron, Montana. We were catered to by owners Michael and Nancy who have built a beautiful home in a gorgeous location. We watched deer and elk grazing in the front yard while enjoying good meals in the dining room. The rooms, all with baths, were super clean and offer great views. Besides the deer and elk, the owners have a menagerie of their own including several horses and dogs, noisy peacocks, a flock of guinea fowl, a llama, and assorted goats. Michael and Nancy are committed to preserving the land and providing a place for both guests and wildlife.
