“Good rustic cabin experience.”
Reviewed 23 July 2013

We seemed like we were on top of our neighbors, the cabins could have used a little more space, but all in all we had a good experience. If you're permitted to use the B&B bathrooms, they're vastly superior to the more typical campground shelter. This is the only time I've seen pay showers at a campground, although my experience isn't overwhelmingly vast. Our cabin felt new and clean and was pretty comfortable. Didn't have a parking space, though, our neighbors must have had too many cars. Convenient to the park and reasonably priced, just prefer a little more nature if we're in a rustic cabin. I'd give it a 3.5 if it were an option.

Hello Traveler, thank you for the feedback. We are happy to hear your overall experience was good. We understand that closing one of our restrooms from 10 pm to 8 am might be an inconvenience for some and we apologize. We are trying to be courteous to our B&B guests by keeping the noise level down. We offer a second restroom that remains open 24 hours and a porta-potty in hopes of making all guests happy.

After touring Montana and staying in hotels, my daughter and I booked two nights in a cabin here. The place is clean and the cabins very basic. Mainly just a bunk bed and several chairs. We were content and the owners were very accommodating. Glacier park is maybe 10 minutes up the road and Hungry Horse is a friendly town. The owners even arranged a 10% discount on Great Northern rafting which was a savings for me.

Rustic, plenty of shade, no bugs, great coffee, campfires, and very clean bathrooms and showers. Pet friendly, inquire about opportunities for dog sitting. Friendly service and affordable!

Phil, the owner, willing to sit and visit about his master planning assures his passion for business. Look forward to opportunity to have WiFi opportunities at all cabins other than near the gazebo and office.

Don't worry about no electricity in cabins, you can charge computers, phones, and other devices at the office. If you are lucky, while you wait, you might get to snag one of the free chocolate chip muffins.

Just spent an amazing weekend at the resort. 1 night in the B and B and 2 nights in cabin 4! The hospitality is fantastic and Phil and Chris really made our stay memorable! (Thanks to my daughter and her fiance for suggesting we stay here!) If you ever get to Hungry Horse, Terry and I highly recommend a stop and stay! We had dinner all three nights at the Glacier Grill up the road in Coram. Great food, I highly recommend the Grilled Chicken Salad! Thanks so much Phil and Chris for such a good time and wonderful hospitality! (Your muffins are amazing!!!) This resort is centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go on our short 3-day weekend!

Room Tip: Sorry, no pool but couldn't figure out how to remove the rating!

Ahhh, a relaxing camping trip to the mountains, where we could sit outside by our camper, cook outside, and eat at our outdoor table--that is exactly what we didn't do at this campground. Albeit, the grounds were immaculate and the bathrooms super clean--although you could only use the ones nearby from 8 in the morning until 10 at night--otherwise you could use their outhouse, or hike up the hill to the one by the cabins. The RV spots look like they have been buldozed on the side of a hill and are only that wide. You cannot walk around your camper, we could only put our tip out halfway, and the pea pebbles that they have on the drive thru are very slippery and of course you almost fall down the steep cutoff the second you get out of your vehicle. You don't expect to slide down when stepping out. Most of the very small tables are placed at a 45 degree angle on a very small area. Of course chairs don't fit there, and most campers had their chairs either in front or back of their camper. An A for cleanliness, but a failure for our comfort and enjoyment.

Thank you for the positive feedback on the cleanliness of our facility… we work very hard to make this a beautiful and enjoyable experience for our visitors. Part of our beauty is the natural setting we offer. We chose not to modify the grounds by pouring concrete slabs or artificially building up areas to keep the park wild and natural; this is one of our cherished amities and gives our guests an authentic Montana experience.

My 2 small children, my husband and I stayed in the bed and breakfast rooms. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The owners were very attentive with all of our needs and requests. When we arrived a sweet lady asked what time we would like our breakfast served and what sort of things my children liked to eat. Breakfast arrived on time and hot. Not to mention amazingly delicious! Reminded me of my grandma's cooking!! When we went down to the mercantile, the gentleman was very responsive to our quest for something to do with the family at near-by attractions. He was very insightful about the outdoor adventures and natural attractions. The Resort it self is surrounded by lush forests and native wildlife. We went on nature walks everyday before bed. Our walks were peaceful and secluded. They offered fantastic views of Glacier National Park's snow-capped peaks and glimpses of neighboring deer, elk, and birds and many beautiful bodies of water. One of the nights we decided to have a camp fire, we waited too long and the mercantile was closed, I called the number on the door of the mercantile to see if we could buy some firewood and the response was immediate. They even had marshmallows that we could roast! I recommend this resort to everyone!! We will definitely be back again!!!

Camping spots are behind the resort and are unmarked. Sites are small so you will certainly have an opportunity to get to know your neighbors. A significant amount of vegetation creeps into the campsites and overhangs the fire pits. Make sure you get there in the daylight so that you can navigate the map and try to figure out where your campsite is located. Also make sure you clear vegetation if you plan to use the fire pit for obvious safety reasons.

Hello Montana traveler, thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your stay. We appreciate the recommendations and we agree… the tent sites were hard to locate so we have ordered reflective signs to assist our guests that arrive after dark with finding their way around our 18 acre facility. We are very safety conscious so we also addressed the overgrowth. As new owners we are trying to find the balance between keeping the park in a natural setting and not letting the foliage take over.
