We had originally reserved this lodge for 5 nights while in MT. Upon entering the lobby to check in, my husband immediately told the gentleman who checked us in that we would be checking out the next day and not staying for the original length of time reserved.
What we didn't know is that we wouldn't have any cell service. The internet connection is only in the lobby that and it's spotty at best. The in-room televisions are only good for watching DVDs, no TV/cable is available. I was okay with no TV but I need internet -- even if I have to pay for it -- and having a cell phone that works is mandatory. Keep in mind these are MY preferences -- up to you how you like to travel.
Our room was not disgusting but I wasn't too comfortable going barefoot. It was a bit dark for my liking and smelled like feet or B.O. I need clean and I need light. Without light, you can't see clean. A bottle of bleach would go a long way here -- especially in the bathtub. There is a lot of wood decking and stairs (that are in need of replacing as its rotting underneath) and they really need a full time property manager that didn't appear to exist.
So if you're into "roughing it" sans technology, have at it. I need clean that I can see and smell.More
