This motel is well run, rooms are quiet and clean. Beds are pretty good. Two sinks is a big plus if traveling with a family. Great staff. Breakfast is standard motel fare, but better than some. The location is excellent. Kids love the pool. Laundry room was handy.

Oh boy. First I want to say, I see the same topic expressed below in this thread, with BW replying saying the issue was addressed. It most definitely was not. I am absolutely horrified, by my stay here. I paid 227.00 to this hotel for 2 nights. (The previous weekend I spent 85 at a Fairfield (120 miles away) and it was FAR superior to this place).

Before I continue, I truly believe that if a hotel KNOWS it's going to be hosting a sports team, a person booking after the team has, should be told the team will be there. As was the case here.

We took our boys down to the pool to play in the water within minutes there were a lot of unsupervised kids in the pool, some pushing each other under water, others diving and rough housing and not one following the rules which are clearly posted, I had to make my kids get out (We chose this hotel for it's pool so yeah, that ticks me off to no end) .There were small kids in the steam room and in the sauna/ hot tub, they were EVERYWHERE!!!. I was hit TWICE in the head with a ball, while holding a small child.

As we made our way back to our room we noted a group of parents "watching the game" in the lobby, while they were NOT watching their kids at all. It sounded like a sports pub in there. We went back to our room and in the hall there were children (Again unsupervised) playing kick ball in the hall way, bouncing off room doors etc. As we readied for bed, the stampeded sounds from the 4th floor started. I'm furious so I get up to walk to the store and when I come back there are those parents, drinking beer and eating pizza like it's a darn Mckenzie river. All the while the front desk clerk is doing nothing. As I went into the elevator, There is a half full can of beer sitting on the railing...REALLY???? WTH? I'm disgusted. I take the can of beer to the clerk and look at the group while handing it to her. She rolls her eyes, but nothing. I had already called about the noise from upstairs by this point. It's 12:30 am, I'm tired and just want to sleep and the only confirmation of my frustration was an eyeroll.

But wait there is more!!!! Around 1:30 the stampede sounds from above finally stopped and I got a little sleep. Only to wake at 7:30 to the same thing. I approach the front desk clerk at Breakfast, which was a slop fest thanks to kids not being watched and sticking their fingers into the food (yes, really) I ask if he thinks this is going to continue, he says no. Again no apologies, no real recognition of the issue, nothing. As he ignores me the ceiling is booming with running in the hall above. I walk to the elevator and there is a small child riding up and down in the elevator. No parents for this 4 year old just playing, he says his mommy is sleeping. PLEASE.

This Hotel is a rip off. The staff doesn't enforce their own rules and the guests run rampant. The best experience I had was the maids and housekeepers. Polite and hard working. Unlike the clerks. I really hope someone will be refunding me for at least 1 night of my stay, because I didn't get the sleep (Which is why we rented a hotel) and the pool was over run, Which is why we chose THIS hotel. instead, I got no sleep and played babysitter to several strange kids.

All this could have been avoided if the staff would enforce the rules!

Room tip: Ask if there is a sports team playing before you stay....if there is...don't.

Dear Fernweh16,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel on TripAdvisor. We appreciate all of our TripAdvisor guests that take the time to review us, including the constructive ones!

The passion and mission of the staff of this hotel is to provide warm, welcoming, clean, and restful stays for all of our guests. As such, I assure you that our staff sincerely cares about your experience! I myself, as well as our Housekeeping Manager and Front Desk Manager, spent time walking the hallways and returning children to parents, as well as enforcing noise curfews and the like. Yours was the sole complaint we received from the past weekend, so while we believe we have significantly improved the enforcement of our noise policies, it does appear a few stragglers slipped past us, and I am terribly sorry it affected the quality of your experience.

Regarding the adults sharing a pizza in our lobby, our Front Desk Clerks had actually asked the group to come to the lobby to continue their late evening socializing, as it is preferable for us that adults socialize in the later hours in our lobby or breakfast room, rather than disturb sleeping guests in the sleeping room areas.

It is my understanding that you wrote this review before you had checked out of the hotel, and our records indicate the your issues were resolved to your satisfaction with the Front Desk Manager at check out. However if you have any lingering concerns, I would be happy to discuss them with you any time! We are always open to more suggestions, and we want to ensure you know how much we care.

Warm Regards,

Whitney K

Located near the Interstate and easy to find this is a very, nice example of the newer Best Western Plus facilities.

There was a nice restaurant that while marketing itself as a Pizza Factory had a broad menue and excellent food just in front of the hotel. There is also a Starbucks, gas station and wine and beer store steps away from the main entrance.

The lobby is marvellous and the staff at check in very friendly, informative and helpful. The place was spotless and quiet. We had a room on the top (fourth) floor and again the hallway was very nicely decorated clean and well maintained.

Our room was very well appointed and had a nice desk with lots of work area. High speed internet worked without any problems. The bathroom was large everything worked and the tub was low sided, which can be nice for those with mobility issues or the elderly who can sometimes be challenged by high sided, deep tubs.

The bed was very comfortable and there was a selection of pillow sizes so we could select one that did not produce a sore neck and shoulders in the morning. Our stay was quiet and totally uneventful and we had a great rest.

Breakfast room was large and spacious and the complimentary breakfast traditional but substantial.

Room tip: The top floor rooms, having no body above you are probably slightly quieter.

I have been staying the Grant Creek Inn for business visits to Missoula since 2005. This hotel has "consistently" provided high quality service, breakfasts and facilities. The location is great in that you have rapid access to all parts of the city and the airport. I have always been greeted with a warm friendly smile from a professional and caring attendant. The pool, workout room and internet service is of the highest quality. I remain a faithful client.

The place was beautiful, the town beautiful. The room was very clean and spacious, the only problem I had with this hotel was the fact that there was ALOT of children there when my husband and I were staying there. And these kids were running down the halls, and taking over the pool area. My husband and i tried to use the pool and spa, but the kids were running around screaming and jumping everywhere. Which made the hot tub very unenjoyable.

Kelsi,

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay on TripAdvisor. I'm so glad to hear you found our rooms to be clean and spacious, and our hotel and town enjoyable.

I am sorry to hear, however, that you had noise issues during your stay! Occasionally we do have groups stay at the hotel, whether team sports or school events, it can be challenging to be sure we offer a welcoming space for all, while maintaining the quiet and relaxing atmosphere that our guests are accustomed to us providing. With that said, we are absolutely up to the challenge! We are implementing more detailed sports and events policies for parents and coaches to sign off on when they stay, as well as considering adopting "adult swim" times for our pool and spa facilities. It's feedback like yours that helps us continue to strive to be the best, and I thank you for the opportunity to improve.

We hope to see you back next time you're in Missoula, I'll be sure to pass your compliments along to staff.

Warm Regards,
Whitney K
