This place was great. We stopped here for lunch and were blown away. The bbq is fantastic. The prices are reasonable (especially for good bbq) and the location is great. If in downtown, you have to go here.

We were traveling with another couple and we were hungry for barbeque. Little did we know, that my sister picked one of the best in the west for lunch. We went inside to order our food and then took a table outside. Within 5 minutes all our food and drinks were on the table. That's one plus with more to come. My brother-in-law likes to eat and he ordered a rack of ribs. He ate the WHOLE thing! The rest of us ordered pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. They were excellent. If you ordered Iced tea or soda, you just go inside and get your refill. Sides were slaw and/or baked beans, which were also excellent. This place has it down. Can't wait to go back. Parking is somewhat limited because of the closeness of the college, etc.

Wife and I were looking for a good place to eat the other night and found a few good reviews about this place and it's Burnt Ends. However, it was pretty late in the evening so they were already out (no surprise really). We ended up getting the pulled pork and Tri Tip combo platter with Mac 'n Cheese and Pit Beans. Meat comes without sauce but they've got 4 bottles of various custom sauces at each table so don't be surprised. Meat was awesome....very juicy and not at all dry or over cooked.

Mac 'n Cheese side....don't bother. It's nothing special from what I could tell. The Pit Beans were fantastic. They had a nice smokey flavor with big chucks of brisket in them.

We ended up sitting outside as the weather was nice but inside was pretty nice as well. Warning, for some reason they close at like 8pm.

We like BBQ. This place is a hole-in-the-wall downtown, with street parking. The BBQ was awesome. We tried a bunch of things, ribs, pulled port, brisket...taking the extra home with us. The alternative would've been Famous Dave's and this was SO much better!
You order at the counter, but the wait staff is sufficiently solicitous.

Coming from the South, we should know better than to expect great bar bq west of Texas. But we had hopes and good recommendations for the NP, so decided to try. The Brisket looked good but was almost tasteless. The pulled pork had great smoke ring and was moist, but had a flavor that was indecipherable, and not pleasantly so. No idea what wood they may have used. Slaw was overdone with vinegar sauce, beans too sweet and acidic. Staff was attentive, but the music was so loud when we ordered inside that we opted to sit outside. Unfortunately, we chose to sit underneath a speaker and had to fight flies as it was a warm day. Asked staff if music could be turned down a bit and were told they could not adjust more than a tiny bit. $33 for 2 for lunch (w water), counter service, plastic utensils, mediocre food, & inhospitable atmosphere was not anything I would repeat or recommend.
