“My Rubys Experience”
Reviewed 21 May 2012

I was looking for two rooms and booked through Priceline with ease. My in laws and my wife and I were traveling to Missoula for a family event and needed a place with good rates. We found this with Rubys.
The rooms are good sized, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. In fact, I loved that our house keeper left us a note each day wishing us well. We also wished her a good day and I was able to meet her and she was as enthusiastic concerning her job as I had expected. She made our stay very rewarding.
The creek was lovely and lent a great atmosphere to the location and it felt like I was back home. There was plenty of room and everyone was pleasant and seemed to enjoy their work. This really made our stay pleasant.

Room Tip: If you want a good room I found rooms 145-149 very close to the creek pleasant and very relaxing wit...

Clean rooms, although outdated and the carpet was stained. Comfy beds. Downside is that it's next to a casino, and there was a bar-fight outside of our room in the parking lot. The porn channel made me feel like we should be paying by the hour - not a family hotel. The friendly staff made me wish I had a better report to give.

Room Tip: Don't get a room next to a casino.

Although it's located on a big strip, Ruby's is amazingly peaceful. Rooms out back face a gentle stream, and our dog (and kids) loved wading in it on the hot August nights we were there. Breakfast is substantial, especially for folks like my husband who loves breakfast meats. Nice Mexican restaurant across the street. Service extremely nice, as well.

Room Tip: Rooms out back are very nice.

Imagine....entering the Inn with the smell of popcorn filling the air....that is what you find at Ruby's Inn...a healthy complimentary snack for us weary travellers. Not only that, complimentary homemade chicken soup was waiting for us around the corner...I was more than impressed. The soup was delicious!!

The staff were so accomodating and friendly...like we were family members who haven't met yet....amazing. After travelling 8 long hours...being greeted by a smiling staff member was wonderful. We took advantage of the outdoor hottub during our stay at Ruby's last March...cool outside but warm in the tub.

The breakfast the next morning was anything but continental...it was a full course breakfast with so many choices...the food was wonderful...and three staff asked how we were doing and if there was anything else they could get for us....stellar service. Thank you.

At breakfast, I had the honor of meeting Ruby and her husband, Lou. They told me that they hired people who liked people....that was very obvious by the way my wife and I were treated by the staff that we encountered. We travelled from Washington State to Maine on this trip....the very best hotel experience was Ruby's. Stop there...you will have a wonderful experience...guaranteed!!

Our room #122 was clean, and the staff hospitable, but the room was badly in need of a facelift. The desk chair upholstery was filthy. The curtains were pretty rough. For just $10 more, we could have stayed at a more modern facility.

We stayed here three nights for a hockey tournament. We spend many weekends traveling for hockey all winter long. This is our fourth stay in Missoula, usually at more expensive chain hotels. This is hands down the overall best stay we have had here and maybe anywhere for sports. The rooms are just rooms, although they are good sized, not large, but larger than most other places we have stayed with the team. They are clean and comfortable. Each day we've been left a note from housekeeping telling us to ring them if we need anything.
The breakfast is much better than most and each evening there is soup and popcorn.
We asked to use the breakfast room for a team meal, not only did they allow it for no charge, we were given chocolate lips for all.
Everyone we spoke to working here were just so nice and accommodating. We travel with two small dogs and they charge one ten dollar fee. There is a lovely big yard and small creek for children and pets.
For teams or families or even a couple Ruby's is excellent value and service. We will most definatly stay here again.

Room Tip: Creek side rooms have a nice view.

Stayed here December 22, 2011. This is a yearly stop for us and my first time to have the breakfast. There was something for everyone, wasn't a fan of the eggs or sausage links but breakfast is included.

They still accept pets -- which I greatly appreciate with two german shepherds.

I will continue to make this my place when staying in Missoula.

Room Tip: Some back to a creek along the back.
