“What a wonderful place to stay”
Reviewed 16 July 2011

Three of us stayed there and were amazed at not only the quaint ambiance of the decorations but also the friendly british disposition of our hostess Sue Jenner who immediately made us feel comfortable. We did not expect the charm of this hotel to have such an impact on our road travel weary minds. We stayed in the Sportsmans Suite which we found very suitable and accomodative.

I booked our room online for the first night of our 3 week road trip. We arrived after hours and found our room keys taped on the guest entrance door, just as the website said they would be. The Wrangler Room was done up in classy, classic western style! The beds were very comfortable; the bathroom serviceable and clean.

Because the hotel is historic, it doesn't have the construction of any present day hotel/motel. The floors squeak and the walls are thin and somehow this adds to The Broadway's charm. Guests should be mindful, especially after hours, that voices carry and soft voices are appreciated.

Breakfast was light but with a nice array of cereals, muffins, seasonal fruit, cold ham slices and cheeses, juice, tea, and lots of coffee!

After breakfast we headed off to Gem Mountain to find our sapphires, well before the town opened for business. We would love to explore this quaint Montana town and I know we'll be back! And we will definitely stay at The Broadway!
(Sue, I hope your back is feeling better!)

I would recommend the Broadway Hotel to anyone. All nine rooms are all different we stayed in the Discovery Room (#1). All the rooms were clean and our bed was very comfortable. My husband and I were there with his mom and dad, uncle, & two friends. Sue, the owner was very friendly and so was Mary who was taking over while Sue went on Holiday back to England. Then there was Josie the cutest and lovable boxer. When we awoke in the morning Mary had a very nice breakfast of fruit & muffins out along with tea, coffee, & juice. I wish more of the town was open when we arrived but defiently glad we stayed at the Broadway Hotel!! If you ever stay here be sure to check out the Sweet Palace which is an old fashion candy store.

My husband & I celebrated our wedding anniversary at The broadway hotel. I love this Hotel!! Sue was absolutley the most gracious host I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Our room was ready for us - with extra special touches all around. We had an amazingly quiet and romantic evening. Breakfast was perfect and so nice to sit in the peaceful sitting room with your morning coffee. They really do go out of thier way to make you feel special. Would return again in a heartbeat.

My boyfriend and I spent one night at The Broadway Hotel and seriously debated just forgetting our responsibilities in Missoula and staying for a lot longer! Sue (the owner/manager) had turned on the heat in our room, the Crosscut, just for us and gave us a great tour of the whole place upon our arrival. We spent the night playing games by the fire in the lounge and had the most amazing night's sleep in what was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Breakfast was fresh fruit, muffins, coffee and more, and was prepared by Sue just for her guests. The whole stay was amazing, and we can't wait to go back!

Great refurb of an old hotel. We stayed in a room with two twin beds and a separate bathroom with shower. Each room has a theme, we had the wrangler, a cowboy theme. Shared living room is wonderful, with a gas fired stove and lot's of reading material with a substantial library. Full kitchen, wonderful breakfast with the owners: Sue and her boxer. You are right in the middle of Philipsburg and can easily walk to restaurants, bars, candy store, coffee shop, etc.

Highly recommended, would travel a bit out of the way to stay here. We had a ski and stay deal for two people at discovery for well less than 150$ - great room and great skiing.

Skiing at Discovery is about 20-30 min drive. Great family run ski area, with good steep runs. Also highly recommended, but be aware this is not Vail or even Crystal Mountain. Go to Big Sky or Whitefish if you are looking for a high end resort experience. If you want to ski, go to Discovery.

In 3 weeks of travelling across America, the Broadway was absolutely our favourite hotel, this place is amazing!!

We rolled up at the Broadway about 5pm not knowing much about it, or the town, but just that it was on vaguely on our route up north. We were greeted at the hotel by the owner Sue Jenner and as soon as we stepped inside and met her we were desperately hoping she had a room left! Luckily there was just the one, the Hard Rock room, which we instantly loved.

EVERYTHING about our stay was so perfect. The rooms are all themed and the Hard Rock was great fun (and comfortable) and full of mining paraphenalia which was right up my fiance's street. The main communal area of the hotel is a gorgeous large living room with a fantastic collection of books, board games, nice seats and fun things to look at from around the world. The kitchen was well stocked and upon arrival Sue even gave us both a glass of wine and some snacks which was very appreciated.

The town was absolutely charming too, even though fairly small we spent a whole day just looking round the shops and museum. We fell in love with the place so much that we changed our travel plans to stay another night! This decision was probably 70% to do with the hotel and 30% to do with the town but even so we were very glad we did decide to spend more time there.

We cannot rate the Broadway highly enough, this place was truly a home away from home and we are desperate to go back.
