“A Step Back In Time”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

The Polebridge Mercantile is like taking a step back in time. Rustic, quirky and very much off the beaten path. It has some of the best bakery items you could find anywhere - bear claws, cookies, fritters usually with huckleberries. The sandwiches and rolls are also excellent. It is well worth the trip on your way to Bowman Lake or all the North Fork has to offer. Just slow down - the scenery is worth it and there is less dust driving on the dirt road it takes to get there.

“Yummy!”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

The Merc has the best baked goods I have ever had. We stocked up on cookies, bear claws, and a few fresh made Italian focaccia's filled with cheese and herbs for our hiking lunches. Outstanding!

“Great place in the woods”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

Just a great store fantastic breads/rolls cheddar jalapeno, Au Gratin( works), great Danish try huckleberry bear claw! Cool cards, basic supplies and ice ( the next closest store is REALLY far away). Real Montana feel this place has it all, and really in the middle of nowhere.

“A Bit of Bakery Heaven”
Reviewed 10 September 2013

In the middle of nowhere en route to northern lakes outside of Glacier National Park sits Polebridge Mercantile. A little bit of everything you might need, but best known for an array of fresh-baked breads and pasteries. Made with loving care and the freshest ingredients. We went out of curiosity and returned out of love that same day. Glacier was a quick scenic ride away from this heavenly delight to the senses. Stop for lunch items going to northern lakes, then stop back by for breakfast items on your return to Glacier. No calorie counting allowed, just sheer enjoyment of delicious food.
