We stayed in the Lewis and Clark room. Lovely room with a small porch to sit and enjoy the view. This bed and breakfast is one of the best I have ever stayed at. The breakfast was delicious. Nancy and Paul are great host and very helpful with information about the surrounding area and just very nice to visit with. This B & B is 18 miles above Polebridge Mt. and even tho' the road is gravel the journey to the Inn is worth it.

We found out about this B and B on line and it was the best find ever. It is a wilderness place and just what we wanted. Paul and Nancy are incredible hosts and made us feel at home right away. The house is beautiful with incredible scenery. The rooms (we stayed in two of the three rooms) were decorated beautifully with many features you find in plush hotels. A delicious breakfast is served while you enjoy looking at the mountains of both Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies. Deer were seen at dusk and at dawn the days we were there. I cannot say enough about our hosts. We will never forget our experience and I hope we can return.

We have stayed twice at "The Way Less Traveled" Bed and Breakfast and each time has been a special treat for us. The accommodations were absolutely wonderful. The views are like looking at a postcard but most of all we enjoyed visiting with the owners Paul and Nancy.
Paul and Nancy are such a sweet couple and they make you feel right at home the moment you arrive. We are still talking about the wonderful breakfast of Huckleberry French toast. The remoteness of the bed and breakfast offers peace and quiet without sacrificing any comfort. We are so glad we found the "Way Less Traveled" bed and breakfast. An experience to remember!

We just returned from four wonderful days at The Way Less Traveled. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Paul and Nancy make you feel like you are staying with friends. The house is great and the views spectacular. The breakfast alone will make you want to return again and again. First morning was an egg scramble with tons of fresh vegetables and ham, next up were homemade Belgium waffles-crispy and delicious, last morning was an egg sandwich on a croissant with bacon and a veggy patty. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. They have a wonderful dog named Storm but don't worry if you are not a dog person. He is tied up outside all day and only goes into the owners' apartment on the first floor in the evenings. It is true that you have to travel about 20 miles on an unpaved road but if you take your time it is not a problem. We saw a black bear on this road on it is worth traveling slow. If you are looking for an out of the way place away from the crowds of Glacier National Park, this is the place you should choose.

The Way Less Traveled is an out of the way place that is peaceful. Nancy and Paul were the best hosts you could have. Breakfast was wonderful. We stayed for 4 nights in the Lewis and Clark Room which had a balcony (deck) that we sat on each night until about 10-11:00 and enjoyed the spectacular views of Glacier N.P. We heard wolves howling a couple nights, the Loons and some unknown sound one morning that was maybe a trumpeter swan or a great white heron. We also saw a black bear and the back end of a grizzly from our balcony. I do not think there is a better place to be in touch with nature. The drive was a little tedious at times but worth it. Of course, cannot finish without saying what a wonderful dog they have. Storm was delightful. At first when I saw him I thought he was a wolf. He was very sweet. Paul and Nancy had a lot of information to share and good suggestions. We look forward to returning sometime in the future. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. We had dinner 3 nights at the Northern Lights Saloon in Polebridge where the staff were very friendly and the food was very good. The Merc also has good baked goods.

Room Tip: Lewis and Clark Room has its own bath and double sinks. Was great for us. Balcony was important to us also.
